I agree with Occupant that Oklahoma State should have been in title game last year. However, I disagree with his argument about South Carolina and LSU not being top ten teams. I cannot think of many teams below them that have an argument to be better.

LSU lost a road game at Florida in a hostile environment at the very end.

South Carolina lost at LSU a week after having to play Georgia in a big game by 2 points.

Oklahoma lost at HOME to Kansas State after having no challenges the week before.

I agree Oklahoma probably dropped a little far and are a top ten team but your crying is ridiculous. Plus Oklahoma's reputation in title games against SEC and Pac12 teams is enough reason to keep them out of the title game.

It doesnt work this way. You dont get credit for losing a close game. But why is beating Georgia any better than beating Texas Tech? Georgia hasnt beaten anyone...Am I suppose to assume preseason polls were legit? Oh, and Oklahoma beat Texas Tech a week after a big game. And Texas Tech lost before a big game, can i use the big game argument and say that TT was looking past their opponent when they lost and say that Oklahomas win was more impressive since it was right after a big game?

This is certifiably ridiculous. I couldn't believe people believed this before the bowls, but I thought for sure that once Bama killed LSU and Stanfrd's kicker had an easy chance at beating Oklahoma State that we saw the best two and most deserving teams in the title game.

Oklahoma State beat a bunch of solid teams but nobody great, and lost to a shitty team. Alabama's only loss was to the best team in the country, and their best wins was better.

I'm sorry....Alabama deserved to be in that game.

Bama lost in their own house and didn't even play in their conference championship. Sorry, but that should've removed them from contention.

Oklahoma state shouldn't have lost to Iowa state no, but at least it was away from home and what you continue to neglect to mention was the plane crash tragedy going on while they were sitting in the locker room in a rain delay. They then proceeded to throttle Oklahoma.

IMO, it is unfair that teams like Ohio, Cincy, Rutgers, etc. get ranked so high for being undefeated when they don't play anybody.

Then why did you rank Clemson and UNC?
