well that sort of sucks.
The sound guys decide how loud a stadium is. You can't figure that out through television.
Um, audio is recorded seperately
what channel is this on on U-Verse? I have like a thousand channels showing the Appy State game....![]()
For me it's channel 6 KDOC, so I guess try your local stations?
not what I was saying, but let's let it rest, I'm too tired to argue. Trying to focus on a half-dozen things on less than six hours' sleep.
Sorry
less than 6 hours? Do you plan to have children? If so, you better get better adapted to less sleep....
How do they do that? Technology is so nuts these days!
They place the microphones and can change the volumes of each of them. For example, it's no secret that our student section has some vulgar chants. When these start, you'll notice (sometimes clearly, sometimes it's a little harder) that they shut off all the microphones in the student section. If they're having an off day, it'll be quieter for a second or so, but then they crank up the non-student microphones.
It is much more pronounced in basketball (especially the NBA), but sound guys are very good at creating whatever atmosphere they think will sell.
