Yeah, and imagine how much more winning they could do if Wash didn't keep dragging this team down with the anchor that is Michael young.
can you guarantee that?

and with his decisions, the team is 21 games over .500, has an 6.5 game lead over the A's & 8 over the Angels and has the best record in the AL.
can you guarantee that?
Or a firing of Ron Washington.
why would Nolan & JD do that, when the team is 21 games over .500 and has a big lead in the AL West? Name the last team to fire their manager when their team was in that position. it doesn't happen
.303 OBP, .346 SLG, and .649 OPS and -1.4 WAR
Are you telling me you honestly don't think this teams record would improve you stopped trotting someone out with line and started replacing that player with someone capable of posting proved numbers?
Don't try to beat me with "can you guarantee" garbage. That's a weak front for when you don't have a single piece of hard fact to back up your statements.
do you? you talk about someone capable of posting proven numbers, who is that? Ott who has a total of 10 ML at-bats or Gentry who is a career back-up.

Would you get off the record? A trained monkey could manage this team to a winning record with this amount of talent. Start discussing other numbers and I might take your assessment seriously. Wash has been horribly outclassed in back to back WS and he will be again if we get there this year.
so name the team that fired their manager when he had posted the kind of numbers that Wash's team has posted over the last 2+ seasons.
you have a hate and so that makes you right? GM's and owners look at what their team is doing NOW and the Rangers are winning and filling seats, so they are not going to fire him just because you want it. and say they did and the new manager made the same lineup decisions i suppose you would be standing in the middle of I30 screaming for his head too.
Or a firing of Ron Washington.
Wait a minute ... who is Craig Gentry a "career" backup for? He's in his second full ML season and is the best OF on the team. Gentry would be starting every day in CF were it not for MY and DM getting full playing time. You can't tell me that DM is a better OF than Gentry.

What about the intangibles? What about the team chemistry if Mike pouts because he is on the bench?
No i'm not saying DM is a better OF'er than Gentry, what i'm saying is that Wash likes having the option of having Gentry on the bench so he can be brought in for his defense. that's where Gentry shines as a defensive CF'er not with his bat.
When you post a -1.4 WAR it doesn't matter if you pout or not. You deserve to be on the bench. As far as intangibles go. I'm offering numbers and hard data. When the apologists can offer me something besides unqualifiable statements I might listen.
Yes I would, but a good manager wouldn't make those assinine decisions. When you can post some solid numbers backing you up for your wash apologist posts I'll take you more seriously. However, up till now you've only sidestepped all the hard data people are putting out there for you and said... "bububut they have a good record and have been to two WS". Correction, they lost two WS and Wash's awful game management was exposed greatly in both.
When you say "a trained monkey" all talk is open to debate.
If you take your team leader, or at least one of them, and bench them and make them disgruntled...the locker room will be affected. As we have seen, this locker room can be affected and the team can get in a funk, and loses games when that happens.
While all is working, you don't make waves.
i am not apologizing for anything. what hard data have you presented? Wash won't use Olt the way you want him used isn't hard data. Wash won't sit a player because you don't like him isn't hard data.
so they lost 2 WS. in one they ran into a SF pitching staff that was lights out, what would you have done different? the other the bullpen couldn't close out games 6 and 7 when they had St. Louis down to their last strike, what would you have done different?
