Looks like Henry had a great visit to the Capstone this past weekend. BAMA is making a big push for him. Wouldn't surprise me if he flipped from UGA to BAMA before its all over with.

Gamecocks have Alan Knott, OL from GA.

Carolina would be deadly every year if Spurrier went out and recruited as much as other coaches. He is slowly building a very solid program there in Columbia and I don't like it one bit.

I was told a story about one of his visits to see a recruit back when he was at Florida. The story goes that the recruit said his decision came down to two schools: Florida and Maryland. Spurrier told the recruit that if he was having trouble deciding whether to attend Florida or Maryland then he would make the choice real easy for him then got up and walked out.

Not sure how much truth is to that, but it does sound like something tHBC would do lol.

JM on the beat. The Cowbells are shaking at Miss St, who picked up 3 commits in the last few days. Deon Mix is a 4-star DE from Batesville, MS, with > 10 offers, including 8 from other SEC schools. Cord Sandberg is a 4-star dual-threat QB with > 20 offers, including ones from Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt. And Chris Jones is an unrated DE from Houston, MS. Bulldogs have 7 commits.

Arkansas has picked up its 7th commit, this one from 3-star DB Khari Harding from Edmond, OK.

And South Carolina's 17th commit is 3-star OT Alan Knott, from Tyrone, GA. He had > 10 offers, none from other SEC schools.

Spurrier is known to be pretty blunt with prospects. Everyone (including Chizik, who had already signed Dyer) was telling Lattimore he would play immediately - Spurrier told him he would have a chance to compete, and there were no guarantees. Clowney, same thing.

And it's true that SOS doesn't like to burn the midnight oil, either game-prepping or recruiting. A lot of that is on the assistants. Lorenzo Ward was basically elevated to the DC job because of his recruiting. He pulled in 9 recruits solo from central GA last year (when the talent level was down in SC). G. A. Mangus has been pretty incredible, too - he's brought some 4*'s down from NJ, and others. Steve Jr. has done a pretty good job as recruiting coordinator since Shame Beamer left. Though I think he hasn't done such a good job coaching WRs and calling plays at times.

All I know is I better not see Ron Zook in Columbia. He can't coach for shit but he can rake in top recruits.

A Bama RB commit said that Henry just wants to play & may not want to sit around waiting at UGA.

If he doesn't think he's good enough to compete at UGA, maybe he should just flip to Bama.

I hear he prefers Rb, but could play FB or LB as well.

Eddie Lacy, Jalston Fowler, T.J. Yeldon, Dee Hart, with Altee Tenpenny and Tyren Jones committed for this class. I wonder where he sees easier playing time?

I don't know, but remember that UGA got the #1 RB for 2010 and 2011, plus another top 10 for 2011 in Isaiah Crowell, Keith Marshall and Todd Gurley. Also 2010 commit Ken Malcome has suprised a lot, hes co-starter with Crowell on UGA's depth chart right now. Georgia is also pretty deep at LB for the next few years. He could play FB probably, but that may be a waste of his talent.

JM in the house, and there's been a lot going on - as mentioned, Georgia has a decommit. In addition, a bunch of players have been reevaluated, and we've worked that into the calculation. And of course, there are new commitments.

Texas A&M has their 17th commitment, from Reggie Chevis, 3-star LB from Houston, TX. All of &'s commitments have come from the lone star state.

Auburn has a commitment from 3-star DE Tashawn Bower from Somerville, NJ. They also have a commitment from 3-star LB Lemond Johnson from Lawrenceville, GA. War Tigers have 13 commits now.

Miss St has 3 new commits. DeAndre Woods is a 3-star WR out of Pinson, AL. Gabe Myles is a 3-star ATH out of Starkville, MS. And Kailo Moore is a 4-star RB out of Rosedale, MS. Cowbellers are up to 10 commits.
