That's the big unknown. He's missed a ton of games in his career. When healthy, he can be a great addition. Dobbins/Harvey projects greater upside than Harvey/Estimé. McLaughlin, Badie and Watson not going to see many touches this year.

I like it - protects the club from injury (the biggest concern given his history) yet give him an opportunity to prove himself to Denver or some other team after this year.

Really well structured contract by Denver's FO. So nice to have a good organization top to bottom.

No doubt about the big unknown with him. The injury bug has gotten him too much.

Splitting carries with another rb is just what he needs. Hope that 1-2 punch works out.

Broncos should be fun to watch. Haven't been able to say that in back to back seasons in a while.

My bro-n-law can't wait for the season to start. He's a season ticketholder.

There is simply no reason the Broncos offense shouldn't see improvement in this upcoming season:

• Bo Nix in year two with the same coaching staff. Doesn't have to learn all the rookie things this year and he looks ready to rock. Payton will arguably expand the playbook.
• Wide receiver room should see development in year two with Vele and Franklin. Sutton and Mimms will do their thing and Pat Bryant is another "good hands" wildcard. Broncos could end up with one of the better receiver corps in the league. They're young too.
• Consistency on the O-line. One of the better lines in football.
• An improved Tight End group with Engram as the headliner.
• Running back by committee strategy with a strong variety of skill sets. Blocking, explosiveness, shiftiness, speed, power and vision
• A top flight defense that will give the ball to the offense often.

The eight year drought ended last year but I anticipate this upcoming season to be the real breakout period. Can't wait.

FYI- 2 year deal was incorrect reporting. It appears it was a 1 year deal. Which would seem to make more sense.

I would be willing to say that Dobbins has top-12 RB vision in the NFL. It is why he is so successful against loaded boxes and then you throw in Goal Line situations he should be a huge plus when it comes to turning Red Zone trips into TD's.

Love this quote. He also had past teammates talk about how they wish he would get a hobby outside of football. The man lives and breathes the game. Fits well with the direction of players the Broncos are wanting around. Wish he could stay healthy as I think he would be regarded as a top-10 RB in the league if that were the case.

I don't think many people realize how bad our run game was last year and it not being because we have a terrible OL. There is an argument to be made that the Broncos had the worst RB room in football last season. Not saying it is top-10 now, but it is not hard to think the running game should be vastly improved.

With the state of last year's running backs and tight ends, it's a miracle Nix looked even serviceable.
