HOME

Green Bay Packers, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, and the New Orleans Saints

AWAY

Packers, Lions, Vikings, Washington Commanders, Philadelphia Eagles, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Las Vegas Raiders, and the San Francisco 49ers

Some super tough opponents, especially with the road games. While this might have otherwise been the glorious return of Justin Fields, it's likely he won't be in a Steeler's uniform next year.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders.

Week 3 should be fun vs Dallas.
Ben Johnson vs Matt Eberflus' defense.

I dont know if it will be fun or not. I guess we see which hole Everfluke tries to pound Parsons in since the Bears traded one of the greatest of this generation in Mack because he technically would not fit in the system. Quinn altered his defense to make sure Parsons was set up to succeed. Maybe Fluke will have learned that he should design a defense to fit the talent this time around.

Once again, the Mack trade had nothing to do with scheme and everything to do with dumping salary and going into rebuild mode.

Seems like ages ago that we traded Mack, but I seem to recall that it had much to do with salary dumping and getting what we could in draft picks because we were starting to rebuild.

Well, I guess we will see how badly Parsons plays in the Everfluke system or if the Fluke alters his system for Parsons. I am at least happy for Sanborn since Fluke pined to get Edmunds here from his colt defense. He should get a shot again since after OTA's, Jack seems to have the edge at starting middle linebacker again.
I am used to being the only one that thinks fluke wanted nothing to do with 3-4 linebackers, or watched yet another full year get wasted by changing the defensive scheme.

Parsons is a freak of nature that will perform well in any system. If he plays well...it's not the scheme. If he plays poorly....it's probably an injury and definitely not the scheme.

Edmunds wasn't from the Colts defense. He played for Buffalo.

I am used to being the only one that thinks

You don't think. You just spout random nonsense that you made up yourself.

Based on what, watching Fluke get Edmunds to run his defense, or this year getting Sanborn to run his defense in Dallas?

I guess what actually happens does not really matter.

TJ Edwards is usually the signal caller on the Bears defense. He was most of the time under Eberflus. Meaning he’s the guy with the comm helmet giving the calls on the field. There’s nothing to suggest Edmunds is “running” the defense.

And the chances Sanborn is that guy in Dallas is less than 0.

Keep trying.

At his peak, Ragnow was arguably the best center in the league, certainly amongst the top 3. I had no idea how badly his injuries had taken such a toll that he chose to call it a career at just 29. With Ragnow retired and Kevin Zeitler signing with the Titans, I'm not sure the Lions can continue to boast having the best OL in the Norris, let alone the rest of the league.

Something about Detroit? Sanders, Megatron, Ragnow, probably others. I didnt think there was a better line in the league than the lions. Those games on the schedule might go to winnable now.

Lions drafted Tate Ratledge for a reason.

Not saying he can or will be on Ragnow’s level but they drafted him to one day be the center. That day is gonna be really soon.
