He got sent down for like 2 days then he was like nah fuck that I’m going to be the best catcher in the league instead.

I feel like this early in a game in his first start you have to let Kirby get out of the inning if it's 2 outs with no RISP. i won't get on dan for that.

but the instant there's a RISP from this point forward, somebody needs to be getting warm in the pen.

I think he had a guy warming up all inning, but he let Kirby give up the lead and then face another guy beyond that to really blow it open

Ya I turned it off after the triple. My brother and I talked yesterday about it being a big mistake to start Kriby in this series. He had bad control in the minors and his stuff wasn't ready. It showed tonight his stuff is not ready. He had 2 outs and nobody on then gave up 3 more runs. Sad.

like i said before, rehab starts in the minors are more about throwing a prescribed number of pitches of each type focusing on mechanical soundness and comfort/pain against live bats instead of just throwing to a catcher. a glorified bullpen session.

but yeah, he got ahead of a lot of hitters and then couldn't put them away or gave up runs with more than 1 out. not making any judgments until i see him start a couple more times.

I get that and because that they don't work on their actual pitches at 100%. Then you throw them into a MLB situation with no real throwing since spring training and this is what happens. He needed to be ramped up. Until you can throw 5 innings of unfettered pitches, you should not come up. Just my opinion.
