The only thing we don't have because ownership is too damn cheap (not Wilson's fault) is that second quality leftie in the pen. You should always have one for the 6th inning if needed then for the 8th like we just needed. Tying run on 1B with a leftie up and we had to bring in Munoz. That was the right move, but if we had the 2nd quality leftie you bring him in to keep the runner close to 1B and to face the leftie hitter. We don't have that luxury. No excuse why we don't.I like Wilson's moves with the pitching this game. Hope it works out.
I liked when he pulled Hancock though and going after his best assets in this game. Those first couple of weeks this season, pretty much all of Servais' tenure, and even Danny a couple of times since they started waking up, end up staying with a starter too long. The only thing we don't have because ownership is too damn cheap (not Wilson's fault) is that second quality leftie in the pen. This just felt better.
Yeah it's exactly what we did not want to.that was what i hoped and expected to see from hancock. he knows how to count to 5, so i'm not surprised that he was throwing harder than he ever has before tonight.
the odds that kirby, gilbert, and miller will all come back in the next month and all stay healthy are pretty low, imo., especially gilbert and miller..forearm issues are fucking scary.
