I'm hoping they mean Jan 2025 but you know that shit is gonna be Dec 2025 and it'll get delayed until 2026

Impressive that he picked that year specifically, we were all thinking it would be post 2020 I think after it was apparent how much they were gonna milk 5. Plus all the work they were putting into RDR 2.

Rockstar announced today its been delayed.

New release date is May 26, 2026 (watch it get pushed back to Fall 2026)

Surprise trailer drop. No actual gameplay, but it looks to be all cut scenes and scenes created using the game engine

There is a possibility this is Cyberpunk all over again where its maybe a great PC game but buyer beware on console just due to the release date happening so late in the console's life cycle. Although maybe its GTAV all over again and not really pushing the envelope with graphics.

I think GTA 4 was better than GTA 5. It had the online component that kept it going. They made a crap load thanks to the online. So I expect an even greater emphasis on thr online component this time around. With a continous emphasis on pushing no single player DLC just online additions. I execpt them to expand the map over the years.

Cyberpunk started a mess but not is a great game with great DLC additions.

I guess my point with Cyberpunk is that it started out mostly pre-ordered as a PS4 game. Its a 9th gen game through and through and I don't even think the DLC works on PS4.

I'm not worried. Apparently that trailer was shot using a standard PS5, not even a Pro version of the console. If it can crank out something that looks like that on standard versions of the consoles, I'll gladly take it
