How many times do I gotta tell that goofball stop drinking directly outta Lake Erie?
I'll never understand folks who are bothered by people who don't "fall in line" and be fans of the local team. There are a multitude of reasons to not be a fan of a local team. Hell, during the Showtime era, I had a friend who stopped being a Lakers fan because they won too much. lol
Nobody is worried except for the fans that haven't watched this team all season. I give credit to Indiana...they shot about as great as they could.CAVS FANS: Step off the 480 Bridge for a second and realize…
- Game 1 was a trap game in every sense. We sat for a week after we swept Miami while Indiana stayed in rhythm in a longer series.
- We didnt have the threat or production of an All Star in Darius Garland. Meanwhile, theres no structural damage on his toe, so he’ll be in soon.
- We shot poorly in general, while Indiana had 4 role players (Nesmith, Nembhard, Mathrum, and McConnell) go a combined 13-18 from three (72%). It’s safe to say that’s not going to be throughout the series
- don’t be fooled by Mitchell’s 33 pts, it took him 30 shots to get it. He can play far better and more efficient.
I’m not worried/concerned as it sits. Of course you want to win every game, but given all those factors, I say it’s almost certain we win game 2 with improvements in all categories, and then likely steal one in Indiana. They aren’t Boston or OKC (although they’re a young rising team that’s becoming semi-dangerous in front of our eyes). Game 2, Cavs win, book it IMO
It would explain a lot....LOL.How many times do I gotta tell that goofball stop drinking directly outta Lake Erie?
They were well above average defensively and Green missed 1 game.....what about the other 3 losses he was part of?Did not use LeBron’s name... You did, but let's go ahead and divert the attention away from these current teams, shall we?
The 2016 Cavs were star heavy and middle of the pack defensively... While I'm glad they won, they caught a huge break when Doucheman shot his team in the foot and got himself suspended.
Even if they may lose to OKC in the finals, this Cavs team is just better than the 2016 one in every rating possible.
Our injury bad luck and Indiana good luck unreal.Oh damn that's not good.
How I'd have seen it before larning DG will miss game 1 and maybe a lot longer....and now Hunter and/or Mobley? This is really the series that will determine if the Cavs had a "successful" season or not.
To a certain extent- the progress Garland and Mobley have shown, the 1 seed, 64 wins, finding a head coach that unlocked the offense and should be here long term, finding a balance between offense and defense that Bickerstaff never found, developing bench players into reliable players, has been awesome. Last year they had to go to 7 to win in the first round when this year they just beat the shit outta their 1st round opponent in a historically lopsided smashfest.
However, I think they need to get further than last year. They have played great- have a great young team- but they should be able to beat a very tough and gritty Pacers team.
Next round against Boston- they will be the underdogs- and it will be a bummer if they make it and lose- but as long as its a decent series no one is going to set off any alarms about the team construction etc.....Boston's days are numbered with the tax hell they are moving into. The Cavs time is on the horizon and should be open for prob. about 3 more seasons after this one at the least- maybe more depending on how Mobley and Garland go and how Mitchell ages.
But this is the series they gotta win to cement this season as a can't miss big step forward. The Garland injury worries me a little bit- but they have shown resilience and a deep bench. Just gotta go out and do it.
The injury angels are here to help Indiana
Mobley hurt his ankle and Hunter dislocated his thumb
such a foolish take. In no world are the Cavs better off without their efficient all star PG.Great news for the Cavs
Defense is much better with Garland in street clothes
Yep...and if memory serves the Cs had the same injury luck last year including that Indiana series with Indiana down some guys?Only series indy played the last 2 seasons without their opponent having significant injuries was Boston and we know how that ended
such a foolish take. In no world are the Cavs better off without their efficient all star PG.
No clue. I would guess he would play but KA said there was a real concern with the sprainHow bad is the ankle?
I mean often outside guarding the perimeter or helping on drives.....had we been crushed on boards it's an issue. But we weren't.Allen been MIA on the glass today
I can see irrational fans who don't know better going after Okoro (who took, what 3-4 shots and made 1).......this game was lost with the guards taking 50 shots and shooting 2-15 from 3.
