I don't think you should go above 2. That seems like too much credit for a stolen base. Maybe the CS penalty doesn't matter much. The best base stealers hardly get caught anyway.

Also, should we give an extra point for a triple? Currently, I think a triple is the same number of points as a double.
Actually, I think steals should be above 2. And yeah, I like an extra point for a triple.

Honestly i see it both ways. On one hand triples are a fun type of hit, but are they are not really a skill. Extra base hitting is a skill.

All in all it’s not a big deal changing to total bases instead of xtra base hit. But I personally like rewarding for skills.

Steals over 2 is all depending on what we do with homers. I think 2 sb should be worth more than a home run.

I don't think it should. Currently a HR nets you 7 points. Are you saying a SB should be worth between 3.75 to 4 points? A home run directly leads to a run scored and is 4 total bases. Two stolen bases doesn't mean a run is scored unless you steal home on one of those steals. Also, it's 2 total bases compared to a home run's 4 total bases.

Stolen bases are less frequent. And if they're going to be scored at such a low rate, the guys who are high average/low power are basically useless in this league as they are now. So there's only one way to win. Power hitters.

Not quite.. I don’t include runs and rbis to that statement. Just the hr. And really just the difference between getting on base and a hr. Which really should be 1 to 4(5)points.

Which is why I would want it to be 2 points. But if we increase home runs I would want to increase stolen bases too.

Personally I think scoring should be based on skills. To allow different type of players to be valuable.

The offensive skills- BB, SO, SB, hits, xbh, and hr.
