7th rd.
Tommy Akingbesote DT Maryland.

I guess Jerry still believes in doing bare minimum to stopping run games.
I hope we end up with some surprises in these players.
Because I still see us losing leads in the 4th qtr & then saying we need a better offenses

Our last pick.

Steve makes him sound like a day 2 pick. I doubt we're so lucky

Pre-Draft Analysis

Mafah rushed for 2,080 yards and 21 touchdowns over the past two seasons. He's a big, patient runner who follows his blocks and makes late cuts between the tackles. Mafah didn't run at the combine and doesn't appear to have elite top-end speed, but he can break some long runs when gets a seam. He lowers his pads and delivers the blow on contact. In the passing game, Mafah is a reliable checkdown; he has the frame and the strength to develop into a reliable pass blocker. -- Steve Muench

First guy from this draft that will get cut. If you told me he played at 210 I'd believe you. Doesn't shift gears, doesn't play 230, doesn't throw his weight around. Should have been left undrafted.
