I watched highlights of WR Jaylin. Wow! He has a knack for getting open on his routes and he's got breakaway speed. He looks like a playmaker. He also is a heck of a kick returner. Great pick for the Commanders.

Pre-Draft Analysis

Medrano is a sideline-to-sideline run defender who ran the fastest 40-yard dash (4.46 seconds) for the linebacker group at the combine. He's quick, slips blocks and made 11 tackles for loss in 2024. He breaks on the ball well and is competitive in off-coverage over the slot. Medrano's arms are long enough to reach in and break up passes -- he had six passes defended in 2024. He catches passes away from his frame and had two interceptions in 2024. He has the active hands and burst to get to the quarterback between the tackles and off the edge. He should push for immediate playing time on special teams. -- Steve Muench

Commanders selected UCLA LB Kain Medrano with the No. 205 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Medrano’s (6'3/222) 4.46-second 40-yard dash made him the Combine’s fastest linebacker, and he demonstrated elite overall athleticism (9.83 RAS) throughout the testing process. The 24-year-old Medrano was a two-year starter in Westwood. Although Medrano (6’3/222) is primarily a box defender, he also served as a part-time EDGE rusher and slot-coverage defender, tallying 22 quarterback pressures, three sacks, four forced incompletions and two interceptions. He gets downhill quickly in run defense but can be bullied by blockers and powerful ball carriers. His 27 missed tackles in 2024 were a positional high in the Power Five. He posted career bests in both solo tackles (63) and TFLs (14) last year. Medrano is perhaps best suited to a strong safety role while operating as a special teams fixture.

Hell Washington should draft Sanders let him be 3rd string and play preseason and when a QB needy team needs a QB we trade him

I think Sheduer may be coaching at Colorado this year. He was collateral damage in something behind the scenes.
I'm pretty sure this is to humble Deion and protect the power held by the NCAA/NFL.
Deion was flexing too hard, and now his son won't play in the NFL. pretty sure due to his son getting blackballed he will attempt to say we dont need the NFL.
Sheduer had a lot to work on in his game and personality, but to not be even considered worthy of being a back-up for the teams that actually needed a QB??? NFL is alive and well

It would be cool if he works his way from special teamer to special starter.
You never know, another Kam Curl

I am thinking DQ finds a way to use his speed to get after QB's in passing situations when he's ready.
