Nobody had him as a day 3 pick. Quit the bullshit
Said this in the NFL thread, at this point NO ONE can take him...no GM needs that on his back, he's not some all time great talent. Only option is the Raiders with Tom Brady basically saying we're taking him 6th round like they took me, then it's a very motivated Shadeur?

he's getting Manzieled, except before his actual career starts. Maybe Ryan Leafed but moved to before the draft lol

Yeah at this point he isn’t worth the drama to be a 2nd or 3rd string QB.

Every draft analyst that does evaluations missed (all had him as like a top 40 pick) and every reporter that covers teams missed (no one reported he'd slip this far. None of them ever miss this badly on projections. Some teams out there just got dumb and petty tonight

Then someone should get a steal in the later rounds if he's any good

Seems like a lot of noise over a guy who's ceiling is likely career backup.
I don’t believe that, but he obviously is going to have to make some changes. I bet the Steelers take him next.

I do. I don't see him as starting quality. He might be that backup QB that every team wishes they had because he can step in as a starter for a few games and still give you a chance to win...but I don't see him as a franchise QB.

But who knows, maybe dropping like this motivates him and he ends up being better than that?

Seems like that if teams thought he was starting quality, he'd have been picked by now.

@thunderc so what do you think of Gabriel?

I watched him more when he got to Oregon. Tbh at one point I thought he was one of the better getting drafted but I just didn’t see him as a pro guy. He has underrated speed and escapability though

Lack of arm strength will be his issue. Plus I don’t think he is the game manager that some similar guys that have succeeded were. I didnt think Nix would be what he was though.

So he was completely a social media creation?

So he was completely a social media creation?

I don't know about completely, but a lot of it, yeah. He's Prime Times son, so he's getting a lot of attention...probably more than he deserves considering his stats.

I see him as a lot like Bronny. If he can just be allowed to be Bronny and continue to develop, he can possibly be a solid rotational player. But being Lebron's son could end up being too much.

If Shadeur can just go to a team where he can spend a few years developing...maybe he can be more?

Someone mentioned the Raiders with Brady taking him in a later round...that might actually be a good landing spot for him. Who better than Brady to maybe be a bit of a mentor for him? Plus, Geno is pretty much a consummate professional, so he could learn from him as well.

Deion saying he was going to steer him and there were a bunch of teams they didn’t want to play for didn’t help. Since it obviously was total bs Shadeur should have refuted that and put his head down and went to work.

Why does it matter so much to you where/when he's drafted and what does some other kid getting drafted despite a record have to do with were Shadeur gets drafted?

Not every team needs a QB and this is a relatively weak QB draft. Some teams may have decided to wait until next year to go after a QB?

The player the Ravens drafted may have been a 1 time mistake. If what has been said about Shadeur is true, he may have a pretty serious ego issue. None of us are in his interviews or in teams draft meetings, so we don't know what they do.

And ftr, I hope the kid proves everyone (including me) wrong. I want to see all of these guys succeed.

Why do you so badly want to believe this rich and arrogant kid is being picked on? The nfl is a business, period.
