I know people are dunking on Katy Perry and the other astronerds, but she'll always get a pass from me.

About 10 years ago some friends of mine had a daughter who developed a very rare form of cancer at age 2 and fought it until she died at age 8. It was so uncommon that the St. Jude Hospital in Memphis was one of the only places in the world working on this form of the disease. Hence the little girl spent loads of time there. Not only did Perry contribute significantly to the research there but she would show up and just hang out with her and the other kids and their families. No cameras or press.

So she gets a thumbs up from me.

I dont dislike her, I have heard other stories about her and she seems nice. And I like a couple songs and liked the pictures of her bottom falling off at a water park about 10 years ago so she is alright with me.

I just think this is funny. And I dont really get the Russell Brand thing...

It used to be a lot easier to laugh at RFK Jr. but now he's in a position where he can do considerable damage to an entire country.

No shit...I have numerous friends with kids on the spectrum. All of which do well for themselves. To top it off, some of the nicest people I've ever met have been on the spectrum.

The whole thing with RFK is just nonsense. He is just feeding into his conspiracy theory BS, it is mind numbing beyond belief.

Not only they are the nicest people but most, like my son, just don't lie at all. He is very high functioning so he went to standard public school his whole time and in all the standard classes. I remember the one time he got in trouble, as the teach tried to blame him something that he didn't do. Our conference with the Principal, teacher and us got very heated due to this as the teacher called our son a liar.
In the end we proved our son was telling the truth to the point we had the Principal apologize to us and the teacher actually got suspended for calling our son a liar.

lol I am dead inside but I cannot stop laughing. I made the wise choice of clicking on a story about the "special meaning behind Katy taking a flower to space". She took a daisy, because her daughter is named Daisy (father Orlando Bloom lol) so it was like taking her daughter to space. Awwww lol

Part of me wants to give them a break about what they did as they exited the capsule. I am sure it was amazing, and their adrenaline had to be crazy high, but it just looks funny. And pretending it was anything other than a publicity stunt for "space tourism" is just dumb.
