I can't find where we were discussing Geno Smith- but according to 'over the cap', the Raiders can get out of his deal after this season with a 18.5 dead money and 8 million cap hit. Can cut him after '26 with basically nothing. Not a good contract for Geno, and no, it doesn't tie Vegas to him for long at all.
My best guess would be- that because of the Vegas ownership situation, never having cash on hand, they would have a hard time cutting that 18.5M check so he's likely around through 26, but that's about it.

He had a couple great games, a few decent ones, and a shitty couple last year. Entirely possible he makes Cleveland watchable more often than not in '25. Certainly is an improvement for Juedy, NJoku, and whatever WR/RB they end up drafting rds 1-3.

Doesn't take them out of the Shadeur possible landing spots, but certainly makes it easier for them to take a pass

Jeudy, Hunter and Njoku could be fun with old man Flacco. They need to add a RB or two in this class too.

Assuming Hunter is used as a WR primarily..

Still haven't heard anything solid as to what any nfl team would plan on doing. Just know that there's no way the dude actually plays both a lot. One side will get much less 'Hunter' than the other.

Flacco... was slinging it everywhere and it was amazing, 1600yds and 13tds in 5 games, sign me up for more of that!

I think I'm at a point with all of the rumors that Ward is by himself in QB tier 1 and QB tier 2 has Sanders, Dart, Shough, and Milroe and it just comes down to what style of QB you want.

To me it seems like the Browns would be fine with any of those QBs but Milroe. Not sure how much you can actually trust Flacco at this point beyond a couple of games.

I will feel pretty confident by the comments of the FO and their needs he will be primarily a WR in CLE.

I agree, he won't play a ton on both sides specifically defense. They have Ward, Emerson and Newsome still...he will play some snaps on defense but nothing close to what he did in college.

Lets see what the actual details are, as I suspect that the Raiders have a way out at the end of 2026 despite initial announcement that it ties him to the Raiders through 2027.
