Trey Lance lands in LA Charger land. Well, ok, good luck with that Harbaugh. I'm done holding out hope for the kid.
Why does this make me think Harbaugh's gonna try to turn him into a hybrid RB/WR?Trey Lance lands in LA Charger land. Well, ok, good luck with that Harbaugh. I'm done holding out hope for the kid.

I actually think it would be a smart move, cuz the kid ain't no QB.

I'm pretty sure he's got his eye on someone in the rookie class, probably someone he recruited and missed out on, but I don't know enough about Michigan recruiting to point at anyone.. and that's more of the reason why he let Dobbins and Bus walk.I just read up on this, and he signed freakin' Lance for 6.4 million and kicked Dobbins, a guy who busted his ass for relative pennies on the dollar and proved his worth, to the curb.
More and more I am not liking Harbaugh.
Maybe I'm Old School (well, yeah I am), but I feel that when a player does a thing like that for you, you owe him something.I'm pretty sure he's got his eye on someone in the rookie class, probably someone he recruited and missed out on, but I don't know enough about Michigan recruiting to point at anyone.. and that's more of the reason why he let Dobbins and Bus walk.
But I do totally buy the possibility of a gimmick package featuring Lance in the backfield
Well i agree pretty much 100%.. but I get the nature of the business. SucksMaybe I'm Old School (well, yeah I am), but I feel that when a player does a thing like that for you, you owe him something.
But that's just me.
He’s pretty easy to not like.I just read up on this, and he signed freakin' Lance for 6.4 million and kicked Dobbins, a guy who busted his ass for relative pennies on the dollar and proved his worth, to the curb.

A year ago I thought Donovan Edwards would be one of the top backs in this class. Now he’s looking like a 7th or a UDFA. Idk.I'm pretty sure he's got his eye on someone in the rookie class, probably someone he recruited and missed out on, but I don't know enough about Michigan recruiting to point at anyone.. and that's more of the reason why he let Dobbins and Bus walk.

Agree. I think he falls past the Saints which means:ESPN’s Adam Schefter believes New Orleans and Pittsburgh are the most “plausible” destinations for Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders.
He mentions that the Giants and Browns could trade back into the first round to take Sanders as well, declaring it “the great question” of the NFL Draft in the first round. Draft scuttlebutt is always risky to fall into, but it does seem like the Browns and Giants aren’t selecting Sanders at No. 2 or No. 3 overall at this point. Sanders would certainly make sense for a Saints team that would probably like to move on from Derek Carr in the near future, and even if the Steelers get Aaron Rodgers, they would make sense as a team that needs a long-term solution at quarterback.
I personally don't buy the Saints as a landing spot. I feel that between Carr and Rattler, they have their short term and developmental QB, no need to spend a #1 on another one. If they don't buy Rattler, they can go for a Dart, Ewers, Shough, Milroe later. I guess it might come down to what other options are on the table at #9, but they could likely have their pick of the top WR, top RB, top LB, top DT,top DB (not named Hunter), the second best OL or the second best edge, that's a lot of great alternatives when you have a QB who is a solid pro and nowhere near the end of his career. Being a Raiders fan, I know Carr ain't the answer to win a SB, but you could do much worse for another year or two.
I don't think he goes top six. Raiders could trade back and still probably get him.Raiders will host Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders for a pre-draft visit.
The visit with Sanders, the consensus No. 2 quarterback in the 2025 draft class, comes shortly after the Raiders signed Geno Smith to a two-year contract worth up to $85.5 million. Drafting Sanders would create quite the headache for head coach Pete Carroll, who appears fully committed to Smith as the team’s medium-term starter. It’s unclear if Sanders, who could start for a handful of teams drafting in the top 15, would be open or willing to sit behind an entrenched starter in his rookie year. Sanders has also visited with the QB-desperate Steelers. The Raiders are also hosting pre-draft visits with QB Jaxon Dart and RB Ashton Jeanty, among others.

This is the part that gets me though -

Just the simple fact that it's worth noting whether a rookie "would be open or willing to sit' is a testament to his well known attitude problems.
This joker wouldn't have been in the discussion as those six dudes in 2024, and would've been the 7th Qb drafted, if not the 8th, behind Rattler, if he came out last year. And certainly not in the first round,
I don't want them to do that either! lol I want Jeanty, or Membou, or Walker, or Simmons, or McMillan. Can they take him with pick #37 or even better, 68th? Than I'd be okay with itI don't think he goes top six. Raiders could trade back and still probably get him.
All it takes is one misguided, enamoured GM who is afraid someone else will swoop in.I don't think he goes top six. Raiders could trade back and still probably get him.
