Good pick. Wasn’t my target for this round, but was on my list.
He was one of 6 players I had pegged as great values but was the only one I felt the Bucs would actually draft. Still lots of good value on the board imo

Raiders needed a LB that can cover, so for me it was between Knight and Paul.

Went with Paul because he instantly upgrades the ST and is a couple years younger.

can someone tell me why Donte Thornton is not rated highly... i understand we have seen other players lke him in the past not succeed...

But athleticism is the one thing that can not be taught... i will take players like him all the time because they have ceilings of actual eliteness...

for the most part, i would rather draft a potential stud than someone who at best would be a WR3...

Thornton's hands are suspect. Really didn't turn out in college as much as we had hoped. He's got the tools though. He came on this year and that really helped but was never able to put together on a consistent bases in college. Little bit of a letdown compared to expectations coming out. Proved this year he can be a deep threat. Blossomed late, not consistent though.

Had you taken Knight, I probably still would have traded up for Paul. Bucs probably need a LB next to Lavonte David and one to replace David at some point.

i understand all that... but in the 4th round... i would take him or similar every single time... id rather have him than some picked in the third round... sure, some of them may hit...but as blind as all of us are, id generally rather take things that cant be taught over things that can...

It's all a matter of that philosophy question. Do you take the swing on traits or reliable floor production? Different for each team and how their roster is constructed, I guess.

Yeah inconsistency is definitely his issue. Maybe he can can blossom and get some great coaching. 6'5" and big play threat is very enticing for teams but if you don't have good hands...it means little to nothing. Buffalo can draft him and Josh Allen can just throw bombs to him lol

Pre-draft visits for the Bills are tough to read at WR. They've met with faster guys like Golden, Bond, Arian Smith and Savion Williams, but also Restrepo? Deep threat would seem to be the missing piece for their WR room, but deep incompletions aren't all that effective if his hands are crap.

Kyle Williams and Riley are the two guys I would die for Tenn to land in round 4

Yeah, I think Kyle Williams might be mid to late rd3. I just wasn't looking at WR for either team Im drafting for right now.

Oh, I don't think there is anything wrong with you taking him in Round 4. You had just asked the question so I went ahead and told you why I thought was still there in Round 4. I personally like Kyle Williams better and the WR's who went ahead of him in Round 3 but I think it is fine where you took him. He was gonna be one of the next WR's off the board. Nothing wrong with the pick.

Kyle Williams was the one WR if he was still hanging around with my 4th rounder I would have likely take him. All the other WR's aren't better then what Denver already has... For Denver to go WR it has to be early, IMO or just a flyer because of value. They have the depth at WR.
