2025 Draft discussion thread

Was just watching a video where they broke down the last 5 1st round picks of teams. The one I watched was for the Titans and Fant would be considered a home run compared to most of the guys they got. 3 of them barely played a snap for the organization with one of their 1st round picks playing in only a single game. Thankfully we haven’t had that happen here in a long time.

Fant is like a full count walk or maybe an infield single.

I really felt like he could be on the verge of a breakout but the move to the Seahawks killed his momentum. His first year with them was actually pretty impressive considering the low number of targets.

Titans are such a weird drafting team. I always tell my Titans friend that it would be rough to be a fan of them when the draft rolls around. (Little bit like it was as a Bronco fan with Elway drafting) they seem to always reach and it doesn't often work out.

I always thought Jax, Seattle and Tenn and obviously the Raiders were 3 of the oddest drafting teams of my time.

Jags have gotten better. Thing with Seattle is they have actual hit on some of the picks I found odd. Tennessee has pretty well stayed the same.

When I was really young the Chargers were the oddest drafting team.

Patriots would be another when Belichick was there. Even last year. I was not a big fan of their draft beyond a couple of picks they made. Belichick was kind of like Seattle with a lot of trade backs/comp picks and they had the throw as many darts at the board and see how they stick. And they cared more about system fit than talent. Sometimes it worked great, but especially towards the end of Belichicks time with the Pats rolled around they had way too many misses for his coaching skills to cover up.

trade out of 20 get 3 draft picks then not bad draft like 2 picks in the 2nd and a 4th i would be happy pick up a RB and DT with those two 2nd round picks . the DT can be a Nose tackle

I think there is only 1 player with 1st round ability that can play NT in this draft consistently. Kenneth Grant. There are a couple of other DT's that I like more as they have ability from the 0-tech clear out to the 5-tech depending on the situation, but true NT that you plug and play in the middle of the DL Grant is probably your guy.

i like harmon. would not be unhappy if Denver drafted him though i would like a trade back and then trade up in the 2nd for a target

Harmon is probably at the top of my realistic draft choices for the Broncos at pick 20. Great fit for this defense and would really add a nice young piece to the DL that needs some depth. I don't think he makes it past about pick 22 though so if we want him it will have to be pick 20 or even a slight trade up. A lot of chatter lately that many teams view him as the 2nd best DT in this class only behind Graham.

The right 5 tech I would love also .. So that would be nice as well .

I would be more happy with trading back back then trading up ...I would only trade up for 2 players in the draft in the first round an one no way would we get them. and the other on everyone knows her that I love watching Ashton Jeanty if he makes it to 9 some are thinking we might move up for him ...I think the Cowboys are wanting him as well .. so I don't think it will happen ....

I believe Omarion Hampton would be a good fit for us . no way would I want to trade up for him either .
