I think the best QB move in this draft is a team that trades up at the end of round 1 to take Jaxon Dart and give him a year of development before turning it over to him.

To me its Dart for the higher floor pick and Milroe for the team gunning for Hurts 2.0

The latter with a much higher bust factor.

Agree. The plan becomes a lot harder when you have 150 million still committed to a door stop.

Why you stay cheap since it’s hard to build the foundation around the guy anyway

I disagree. But time will tell. Someone will go. You may even see two QBs go. It doesn’t make Cam Ward or Shadeur Sanders any better as prospects.
doesn't matter what they are to fake drafters as prospects. Only matters what actual drafters think and, of course, how they play.

so trade assets for a guy thought to be a lesser prospect is the way to go?

Not opposed to getting Dart, but how does that make more sense IF someone thinks Ward or Sanders is better?

Milroe is interesting but I don’t think he’s worth the round 1 trade up for me. I don’t think he has the measurables to be a plus NFL QB.

Becuase you get the better prospect at 2

I mean the quality of prospect they actually are really does matter. I don’t think there’s anything better than a journeyman QB in this draft. Time will tell. All we know for sure is you will defend anything Cleveland does with the number 2 pick to the death.

This is why I can’t respect your sports opinions. In the last post you talked about fake drafters blah blah blah. Now you’re saying beyond a shadow of a doubt that Dart is automatically the lesser QB. You have no intellectual consistency or integrity. It’s all good. The sports world needs Fan Bois and that’s who you are. In a few weeks if Cleveland trades up and takes Dart you’ll be saying he’s the next Dan Marino. It’s who you are.

Ward and Sanders aren’t better. That person is wrong. If Ward was better he would have been in the draft years ago. Sanders never had to read much of anything. He ran around and made plays more than playing the position. Dart presents value because the cost isn’t as high.

My buddy said none of the QB prospects graded out well. Not the year to be taking a QB. Compared the class to the Kenny Pickett class.

Not excited about any of them.

Next year looks loaded.

Thank you! I agree with him mostly. I do think Dart is a project worth taking a shot on because of his arm talent you just can’t teach. I think in the right spot where he doesn’t have to start right away that he can be a solid NFL QB, not an elite guy mind you, but a guy who can give a team solid play.

That's cool you think that as it's been parroted ad nauseum since last CFB season was going on......by many of same people who thought LJ should be a WR and Trubisky a much better prospect than Mahomes

I'd say all we know is you will try and rip what Cleveland does. I wont try to defend anything as I'll likely just see how things play out since - especially when it comes to QB - we have no idea how he will do once he gets to NFL. I get many fans like you think you know and parrot what you hear.

Damn

Fascinating

I figured ward would grade out better even though I’m not sure how his style plays out

Do you ever form opinions by watching? I certainly do. That’s pretty pathetic honestly.
Sure.....But I don't pretend to know. If just watching a few games was all it took doubt FOs would spend hours watching every throw a guy makes.......travel the country meeting with these guys, their coaches, their teammates, etc. And even the elite of elite do all these things and miss on QBs all the time.

But if you want to claim you know I wont stop you....but I'll laugh.
