This decision wasn't made in a vacuum last night.

Also strange, that he was let go much earlier in free agency. Sometimes being let go late is pay back because the coach knows that the big money has already been spent.

This happens all the time. You keep those guys around until later in FA because you are not sure who you are going to sign and don't want to be left in a position where you have to panic because you cut a guy too early then didn't sign the player you were hoping for. LB especially this offseason the contracts got crazy so my guess is Patriots hung on to him just to see what would happen. There could also have been they were hoping to get him traded and were willing to wait just in case an offer came in but now realize teams are growing cold in that area.

There is more than just issues the player is causing, but scheme fit, youth movement, sometimes new coaches like to cut old captains because they want an easier time controlling the voice of what the captains say to the rest of the locker room type thing.

A pectoral injury is a tough injury to recover for for a linebacker.
It is instinct to reach out to grab a runner running past him with your extended arm.
Very hard on a repaired pec.
Yeah I read he was dismissed with a failed physical designation.

It only took a few days to get the real reason. Almost as if the media wanted to stick a thorn in someone's ass.

I don't like it but I am sure Vrabel knows more than me. Still has us taking a LT and IOL regardless.
Yes. The FNG is supposed to be a great center for run protection but bottom of the barrel for pass protection, whereas Strange is the opposite. Hopefully one of them improves his game on the weak points.

Had not heard that Strange was weak in run protection. I do know that left guard is harder with a bad left tackle.

He didn't say much of anything other than we'll see how things go April 7. For those without a calendar handy, that's this coming Monday.

Milton doesn't give any indication of being a complainer, but standing on a sideline can be pretty difficult when you know you won't be playing unless the other guy gets hurt.

Here's a pretty tough question. If you were the Titans, Browns or Giants and were hell bent on taking Cam Ward or Sheduer Sanders or could get Milton for your first round pick instead, would you offer that up to The Patriots? If you were the p[atriots, would you give him up for the #1, #2 or #3 pick in this draft?
