I just don’t think it’s a football play so I’m fine with getting rid of it

I don't really care one way or the other. Just don't give us the lame "injury/player safety" nonsense when there is no injury data to back it up.

I agree that it's more of a rugby play, but I don't think that's reason enough to outlaw it and you don't ban something just because 1 team became really good at running it.

If they want to ban it because it's "not aesthetically pleasing" (which I believe is the real reason), then just say that.

Well one thing is for sure, no one is going to tell the truth.

If they ban it for being a rugby play, then they better get rid of the, admittedly very rarely used, drop kick because that is also a rugby play.

Your terms are acceptable

The Untimed fair catch as well could go for all I care

Personally, the only thing that I don't like about it (other than it being used successfully against the Seahawks lol) is that if the play is close, it's virtually impossible to spot the ball accurately. If they need a yard and get 2, they obviously made it.

But when they need 2 yards and you can't tell if they got 1.5 or 2 and even replay can't find a clear view, it becomes a "best guess".

There’s no reason to ban it. They’re only tabling it because we have reached the moment and they don’t have the votes. Why? Because they can’t get 24 pussies to ban a play because one team perfected it.

Are we outlawing the lateral? That’s a rugby play.

Are we outlawing the catch? That’s a baseball play and a basketball play.

Oh boy.

Its a bullshit play. If we just go back to not allowing to advance a ball carrier (safety) it is dead.

This shit was illegal for decades when for some unknown reason it was reintroduced. No need for it.

Because one team is much better at it than the rest of the league. The QB sneak has been a football play for decades.

And if they change it again it will be because the Eagles created the unstoppable play. I think youre just bitter because the Bills season ended because they fucked this play up.

Yes the qb sneak, of which there is some semblance of strategy and he isn't gaining yards because his lineman shoves him in the back.

Prob a poor anecdote but my sons team lost in the playoffs last year because the team we played did a beast set and some variation of this push literally all fucking game. They got 3 to 4 yards each play, they scored all of 7 pts (we failed on a 2 pt) and beat us 7 to 6 because we beat them earlier in the year. It was a painful game to watch. They cheat coded their way to a win. It was gay as fuck.

I see no value in playing the game like that.

I mean, when we had Jacoby Brissett thought I saw a stat he had been successful on nearly every QB sneak he ever tried. No push needed.

No issue if they keep it, though. IF they want to ban it how about just say they are again making it illegal for a team to push it's own ball carriers as I thought was once a rule?
