I'm biased, obviously but I would love it if Marshawn Lynch got in and walked up to the podium and started his acceptance speech with,
" I'm just here so I don't get fined". Everybody would crack right up. I'd be a little worried about his speech though. I could see a few F-bombs accidentally dropping. Might not be the most family friendly atmosphere. Lol.

I don't see any first timers getting in, Keuchley has the best shot but I think he waits a year.

I think Keuchly and Vinatieri both get in first ballot. It's a fairly weak list overall but those two are pretty much locks. Suggs will get in, imo but will have to wait maybe. A lot of the previous finalists are starting to fall into the category of perrennial bridesmaids. Not saying that's right because there's 3 or 4 that I think deserve to get in but it is what it is,

I just think they might hold it against Keuchly for only playing 8 seasons.

Yeah, maybe. But his 8 seasons were elite. And really, there isn't a lot of players on the list that are more than borderline. It's a matter of numbers to me. Keuchly is just the best of this particular group. DROY, DPOY his first 2 seasons. AP and PB 7 times, 5 of those AP's were first team. Even his worst year where he only played 10 games. Second team AP and over 100 tackles. 75 career TFL and over 1000 tackles.

Last year they had Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne, and Tory Holt on the ballot. All 3 should have already been in but traditionally they don't like to have more than 1 player at each position unless the candidates are exceptional even by HoF standards. I would have put them in in the order I listed them, but any order is fine. A lot of HoF worthy WRs are going to be on the ballot over the next 10 years. Wayne and Holt need to get in quick.

as Urlacker said...it's a crime Woodsen isn't in yet. Holt belongs but Woodsen is far and away the most deserving. Woodson covered the third WR in 3 wide sets and played all special teams.

it is time

Damn right and some won't like it when he gets in. Eli is the definition of average but he's a lock for the HOF at some point. He's not deserving of getting in on his first try though.

Here's why he'll get in. No QB with 100+ wins, 55,000+ yards, 350+ TD's...and more importantly (for him) 2 rings and 2 MVP's has been left out of The Hall.

And I hope T. Holt gets in. Honestly thought he was already in.

I just saw Eric Allen, Jared Allen, Antonio Gates and Sterling Sharpe are in. I watched all these guys when I was growing up. Gates was a gimme. One of the best to ever do it. Sharpe was a monster and just couldn’t stay healthy. He would have been an all-timer if he had stayed healthy. Eric Allen was really good. I guess he’s deserving. Jared Allen…meh? Ok. I never really thought about Him.

I was surprised when I found this thread to see that Rodney Harrison and Darren Woodson are not in. Same with Holt and Wayne that feel like no-brainers. Vinatieri, too! Lots of really elite players on that list of eligibles. Many seem more deserving than some of the guys getting in. Oh well.

I don't know if I ever really thought of Eric or Jared Allen as HOFers. Specifically, I'd say Suggs was more deserving than the latter.

Great to see Sterling Sharpe finally get in. He was arguably every bit as good as Jerry Rice in the early 1990s. Any argument for keeping him out due to longevity went out the window when Terrell Davis got in.
