I said in the other thread but Payton‘s gamble of pushing up the Chargers game to Thursday night to get us more time to prepare for Cincinnati better pay off.

The last time the Broncos went on the road against another playoff contender, started off strong only to utterly collapse in the second half to lose by a score of 27-34, all the week before playing the Bengals late in the season, was 2015 against the Steelers.

So clearly the stars are aligning for a Super Bowl run. The science cannot be refuted.

No worries, even if Cincinnati gets lucky and beats you in Cincinnati this week, you have week 17 where the Chiefs will be resting all their players because they would rather play you than the Bengals in the playoffs. You got this!

Plus, we still have to beat the Browns, and that is no guarantee. They are our toughest match up personnel wise in our division.

Not sure I agree with this. Chiefs have a better defense then offense this year. Broncos have a better defense the the Bengals.

Although nobody wants to have to beat a team in the division 3 times.

Is it smart to rest your starters for two weeks in a road (counting the bye the Chiefs will likely get week 1)

We have an 87% chance still. We got this.

You got this! Our game will probably be meaningless anyways after we lose to the Browns.

Bump! This next game is for Mingo. I feel awful that Mingo's last game alive the Broncos lost..

I feel great that Mingo's last days alive included a Colorado player winning the Heisman and Colorado turning their program around. He was so pumped about Colorado and their turn around. I will never watch Bo Nix again without thinking of Mingo!

Congrats guys. KC won the division and the #1 seed yet again, so they may very well be resting guys to get them healthy before they have to play in the playoffs. Should be a cake walk the last week of the season. I'll be rooting for your team. I started off a Bronco fan when I was a kid when I lived in Denver, then I moved to Ohio when I was 9 and started watching the Bengals. I still have tons of family that live in Denver, so I would like to see you guys win again.

I still won't count that KC game as a win. Backups play hard and there is a lot of talent on that team so even with them likely not playing starters a lot it will be tough to win. Would be great to lock it up with a win on Saturday.

That will be a legit win if you win this Saturday. The Bengals play very hard and that offense is legit. Problem is the defense, but it depends on what defense you are going to get. Been tons of injuries on this team, but if you get the defense from last couple weeks, this will be a very hard game for the Broncos to win. This is basically a playoff game for the Bengals. They need lots of help with Indy and Miami each needing to lose one to inferior opponents, and they need the Broncos to lose out, and they have to win out. So a lose Saturday means week 17 has no meaning. They will be playing their asses off.

If the Chiefs rest their starters, they would be sitting for nearly three weeks. I wouldn't be surprised to see Reid play the starters for a quarter or two and then pull them. Not sure they want three full weeks of rust. We'll see.

Broncos fans know that this will be a very difficult game to win on the road, against a talented and desperate Bengals squad. I'm going to assume that Sean Payton and the players know that too. Broncos come in with a chip on their shoulder after the letdown last week against the Chargers. I'm expecting a very competitive game with a full-on playoff atmosphere.
