The NFL Network Schedule Release show last night pretty much had the Patriots and Panthers fighting for the first pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Teams that were highlighted were of course the Chiefs, Ravens, 49ers and Cowboys.

Of course the ne Darlins are the Jets. The Bills have been pushed into the 'also-ran' category. The Dolphin have been tagged as the 'Fastest' team in the NFL.

They didn't get into long range predictions but they took the entire schedules of the Chiefs, Cowboys, Niners and Dolphins and actually surprised themselves. Chiefs finish 12-5, Niners 12-6, Cowboys 9-8 and Dolphins 12-5. Jets seemed to win a lot on Prime time games and all indications were that they would be 11-6 or 10-7.

Patriots have one prime time game, but have a 9:30 AM game in London against the Jags Week 7. Patriots are also scheduled for a December Saturday game that could get flexed out because they have a triple header that day and five games are schgeduled. The top three games will be on Saturday and the other two flexed to Sunday.

Patriots have their BYE Week 14.

I think that the Patriots will be better than we expect.

New staff, new attitude and the players know that everyone thinks that they will suck big time. They'll pull a couple of upsets.

I like that second Jet’s game scenario … mostly because I’d love to see Rogers throw his helmet at BB before the half
It's being discussed just a bit everywhere.

On this past Monday it was that BB would be picked up by the Giants. By yesterday it was that he would be looking for revenge against Kraft and that the best way would be two games a year as the HC of the NYJ.

Game 3 Thursday Night at New York Jets.

Bookmakers are in love with Aaron Rogers and have the Jets. Right now the Jets are a big favorite.

Jets start the season with games away at SF and TENN. They could easily be 0-2 when they get home for this Thursday night game on a short week.
my first inclination was to give them the win. The Patriots first two are against CIN and SEA, away and then home.

Bengals are heavily favored because it will be Burrows first full game after losing half of 2023 to torn ligaments in his right wrist. Of course he started throwing the ball around the first of April and he's better than before the injury. Big question is, can it take an impact from a fall on it such as might be the case if he's sacked?

Let's be positive and say that both the Patriots and Jets are 1-1 for Game 3. Patriots lose against the Bengals and Jets lose against the Niners. who played the tougher opponent four day prior? Patriots vs Seahawks or Jets vs Titans? Can Brissett or Maye deal with the overflow crowd in New Jersey?

Patriots 24 Jets 17 ????????????????

Does anyone else see a potential 0-5 or 1-5 start?
Very easy. Fix the damn Oline. Watching some of the preseason games this weekend really turned my stomach. I watched 3rd string and PS players for other teams looking like our starters. Sure they were up against other 3rd stringers but they looked in sync. Not making 10 dumb penalties. I hope I'm wrong but preparing myself for a VERY frustrating season.

I don't think fixing the Oline will be very easy. But we damn sure need to get a LT

Earlier, I predicted 6-11. I also said that I had a right to change my mind.

Looking very closely at this schedule, I would not be surprised if the Patriots went 0-17, 1-16, 2-15. That's based on their preseason performance and nothing else. The only team they beat were the Panthers who are equally as bad. The most positive result would be wins against the Cardinals, Colts one against the Jets and possibly the Seahawks.

The OL is so bad, that this team will have to try to run the ball at least 60% of the time, probably more, especially early in the season. I've resigned myself to a season of bitchin' about stupid penalties at the worst possible time, fumbles or interceptions deep in the opponent's territory very late in games that could have been won and some bad coaching decisions.

If Wolfe can just find a mediocre LT, it could chnge the whole season. For the life of me, I just can't understand why he won't bring in Donovan Smith for a tryout. The guy played starting LT for two years for the Chiefs. He may be 33, but he's a hundred times better than anyone that they have on this roster.

I think you may be spot on sadly.

I'm hoping if Wolfe and company don't pull the trigger on one or two Olineman, that they are banking on this being a bust season, and preparing for next season? Save some cap to roll over, find some young studs in the draft. Sign a vet or two Oline and gather some picks. Judon should net a comp pick?

I think we all have to be patient and fully understand where we are at as an organization at this time. We need to really watch the first and second year guy's and watch the progress. I for one think we are three years away from being a good team

I hate to say it, but this team is in year four of the rebuild. BB did absolutely nothing to stem the erosion of the offense once TB12 was gone. He'd become complacent and figure Mac would just take over in year two based on his great performance in year one. Thing was that the OL wasn't that good and Josh left. BB wasn't prepared for the demise that followed . He restocked the defense, but it wasn't enough.

That's history and we can't change it. Now the pieces have to be found to keep moving forward with continuous improvement. Just have to wonder if the people are in place to make those ongoing improvements. Front office and staff, not players.

I will say this. Very few teams have cut OTs. You know that they will be trying to stash them on the PS or IR with questionable Injuries. Last thing they want is for teams like the Patriots to strip mine them.
