Monk only scored 8 points in the last game they played.

But he did play 26 minutes and had 6 assists. The only backcourt bench points of note in yesterday's game vs the Blazers were scored by Davion Mitchell, the backup PG.

I agree with "very strong"- however- 8th and 10th in the West when both were healthy leaves me thinking something does not add up......is it empty stats at this point?

The Warriors I guess i understand more since Draymond and Klay have taken big time down swings----- Lakers had Davis for 76 games and the 8th seed with LeBron playing over 70 games? Something does not add up. 19th in the NBA in point differential...
I'm thinking the roster or coaching might be holding them back some.

Now is he the clear #1 who could take a team starting Pavlovic and Snow at guard (when Hughes cannot go)? Nope.

If the Lakers get past the Pels tomorrow, they will face the Nuggies. AD has had trouble with two Centers in the west: Sabonis with the Kings and of course Jokic with Denver. Getting past Denver will be the first test and unless the Lakers figure out how to slow down Jokic and that offense, the chances of returning to the WCF is getting thinner by the day. Anything can happen but to date, the Lakers have not made any changes to change the chances outcome of winning a Denver-Lakers Round 1 Series.

I'm not overly confident about any scenario.

If the Lakers beat the Pels, I see Denver winning in 5 or maybe 6 if the Lakers are lucky

If the Lakers lose to the Pels, I don't see them beating the Kings or the Warriors.

Yeah i'm being pessimistic but also realistic. The Lakers have struggled big time against all three teams.

I would definitely give the kings or warriors the edge if they had to play those games in Sacramento or Oakland. I think the advantage goes to the Lakers with those games at home potentially should they lose to the Pelicans

I will say, if the Lakers don't do anything in the playoffs I probably will root for OKC - even though the motherfuckers should be the Sonics.

They're a young and fun team and have a great future ahead of them.

we likely don’t make it far this post season but man this is why I love Jimmy. His irrational confidence always make us heat fans think we got a chance. Just wish some of this can translate to the regular season

I don’t think it is irrational.

Seems more like truth to me.

Yea I mean I read a stat today where no one had ever shot over 40 from 3 and 70 percent at the rim in the same season and LeBron just did it at 39.
what doesnt add up then? DAvis just played 76 Games.. LeBron 71.....is the coaching THAT Bad? Do Russell, Reave and Co. suck THAT MUCH? 19th in point differential.....8th in the West.....I dunno.

It just takes longer to be recognized in smaller markets.

Yes, that is true.

I think it is more about his numbers.

His impact probably isn’t too far behind those second tier superstars like Tatum.

But his stats are.

They are very good, don’t get me wrong, but not next to the eye popping numbers of the top dogs.
