Redick and Bron starting a pod. If you are a basketball head I feel like it’s a must listen

I liked a comment I saw on reddit, "JJ doesn't realize this is actually Bron interviewing him for HC of the Lakers"

But seriously, this is gonna be good

He killed John Collins. I saw his soul leave his body.
I heard Ant almost broke the internet after that vicious monster dunk.

DAMN!

That dunk by the Hawk's Jalen Johnson on Austin Reaves tonight was pretty savage too.

I really like how fast Trace Jackson-Davis has improved, matured and is finally stepping up in his role for the Dubs lately.
Very active around the glass on both ends and contributing like a veteran player. He's gonna be a good one.
He also seems like a real solid guy off the court too. Same with Jonathan Kuminga for sure.
Dubs have 2 nice exciting front court keepers there for the future.

Also what some don't understand on this board is you can be a great coach but that doesn't mean fans will agree with every single decision you make lol

I'm sure during the Brady Pats era, Pats fans never disagreed with a single decision BB made lol same goes for Phil Jackson and Pop

Yep.

I am a Virginia fan. I love Tony Bennett. He is the best thing that has ever happened to UVA basketball.

But some of his game management decisions are just not very good.

Overall package as a coach?

Amazing. And I will certainly take the good with the bad.

But, 3 things I take issue with that I don’t think he does very well and somewhat limit the upside of his teams:

1)Foul management- almost always sitting guys too early and too long when they get fouls 2 and 3
2) press break- uses his best ball handlers and FT shooters as inbound guy. That can be problematic against an aggressive trap and when teams are trying to foul late.
3) unwillingness to commit to giving freshmen minutes over the more reliable, but less talented upper class men.

No.

He’s better than Kawhi was at this point offensively.

Yep.

I think JDub absolutely has a chance to be as good as Kawhi. I might even project it.

But calling an MVP level player any young player’s floor is crazy talk.

Wemby the only guy that makes sense for, and even that isn’t true because injuries.

And to say something like that while calling out Ham at least 5 times a day is beyond ridiculous. The Lakers went to the conference finals with Ham as coach. And the same GM who is given credit for all that decided Ham was still the best guy for the job.

Let's take a step back here. Ham is coaching like someone fresh off the street far too often. Rob has made more bad deals than good, including what might be the worst trade in Lakers history. It's not just the trades, it's also the refusal to give non-1st rounders that third year on their contract. Led to THT getting paid a year early (and losing Caruso), then Reaves getting paid a year early this past summer, and now will likely be Christie getting paid a year early this coming summer. But hey, he did give all those 1 year league min signings an option year to muck things up this summer too. They even seem to have mucked up the draft this year, the one thing they had been pretty consistently good with of late. There's something to be said about having a front office with actual experience, not an agent turned GM and a first time head coach.

I wouldn't mind moving on from both this summer, but I doubt Jeannie will do that (at least keeping Rob).

It’s disgusting.

I get it a bit, as I know my brother's family takes advantage of my parents regularly. Babysitting, housesitting, pet-sitting, yard work, etc. Not to mention his wife makes 6 figures and they rarely make an appearance at my parents' house (just around the corner), despite their kids coming down for my Dad to make them meals or to snack, as there is never food in their house. My parents are willing, but it's still disgusting IMO.

He’s not messing with me, he lacks the ammo to do so. It’s him being a little bitch to a very good poster around here that pisses me off. Its like fingernails on a fn chalk board. Grow the f up.

If you don't recognize that these sports boards are a decent percentage of shit talking, I don't know what to say. It's not going to slow things to say you're upset. Ignore is an option.
