Not everyone can fall into a situation like LA or Bird in Boston. Or Duncan getting a fluke SA top pick. MJ definitely has that over Lebron but he may have never left if he was drafted to a market that could draw free agents. It's funny how it's "lacking integrity" when a player makes a power move but ownership dumping a dude or trading him and making his family relocate is part of it all
Organization > Individual

It's what most of us at least should have been taught as kids. Not rocket science. "Blaming the others" only gets you so far both in sports and in real life.

The past is the past. That does nothing for them now

As I've said repeatedly over the last decade, it's got absolutely nothing to do with the Pacers. It's that he's had to jump to multiple teams to do what he's done. He cares more about the business aspect than he does for the integrity of the game.
That's the way of the league these days. He's only been in three cities, you make it sound like he's been all over the place. He's been in LA for six years straight now, 1 short of his initial stint in Cleveland. Once he left Cleveland the first time, he didn't need to change cities to get over the top, he's won everywhere.

Not sure your post makes the statement you intended. That certainly sounds like support for the Lakers' org.

And as for my parade comment, i would have said that about any team who won this. I was never a big fan of this thing. Not everything is about the lakers

The ESPN and TNT ratings were up 26% compared to normal November games.
Local Broadcasts were up 20%
NBA League pass saw a 25% increase in viewership
The all time record per game attendance for the month of November was set as well across all NBA arenas.

And that was just for the November pool play stuff.
The finals numbers will push it even further.

The fuck???

It means the organization should have more power than the player. Guys like @Stakesarehigh act as though a millionaire getting traded to a different city w/o consent is some sort of sin.

Don't know why you think that's just a Lakers thing because it's for all 30 teams.

This is not true at all. I have said I didn’t play him at all for the situation he was in for the Cavs the first time. Nobody wanted to play for Cleveland. It was simple as that. He was the best player in the league going to Game 7’s against the Big 3 of Boston. He was dominating literally by himself. MJ couldn’t even do that but he was lucky enough that other stars wanted to play with him in a big market. If he stayed in Cleveland maybe eventually a star joins him but really doubting that after 7 years. They were still get 1 and 2 seeds with nothing around him so drafting around him was close to impossible. They were a 15 win team without him.

Your integrity of the game spout is just pure bullshit. Nothing more, nothing less.

Carrying teams that had no business in the playoffs to Finals vs a team with 5 future HOFr’s.
Kareem asking for a trade after getting a ship in Milwaukee with borderline top 10 player ever really hurt his integrity too right?
Lebron didn’t even ask out. His contract was up and he signed. Integrity has nothing to do with FA.

Lebron dominating Indiana by himself in CLE.
He dominated Indiana with Wade and Bosh.
He dominated Indiana with Kyrie.
And now he dominated him as almost a 40 year old man.

That has to be tough for you to accept.

An all too frequently overlooked aspect about MJ: The Bulls very seldom made trades while he was on the team. He won w/ what he had and no excuses…

Let’s not sit here and pretend that Pippen and Phil Jackson were known commodities before they came to the Bulls.

I didn't like the idea and absolutely hate the courts. It's been the exact opposite of a distraction for the Lakers, not sure how it has impacted other teams. Until this week, it was just games on weird colored courts more or less. I do think they don't need to force it to complete this early in the season, and the thin schedule this week was a weird choice.
yeah good on them for winning. the extra money is a nice christmas bonus. im not sure lebron, AD or even reaves neeeds it but some of the less paid players its a nice gift. i just think if im remembering it correctly they have been counting games as part of the tournament, group play etc since a few games into the season. i think they just need to invole less of season games. play the tournament as the standings sit no need for the group play stuff

When AD plays like that.....the Lakers are unbeatable.

41 points, 20 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks.

You see the thing with you is...

LeBron wins tonight and it's "Another honor cementing himself as the GOAT player on the GOAT franchise!"

Had the Pacers won you would have said, "Who cares? It's only the Pacers. Mickey Mouse team winning a Mickey Mouse tournament."

ron harper
dennis Rodman
steve Kerr

hell Pippen was traded for technically.

And we are going to credit Jordan for Phil rather than vice versa?
