Interesting news re: the Grinch firing.

My assumption, and initial reports were, that this was initiated by the AD.

Apparently, the decision was made by Riley.

Could it be that he has learned that you have to at least have an average defense if you want to win titles?

Scrambles count via the PRO. The threat of that run changes the coverage. Otherwise, you're just leaning into your bias on this.

As I noted, Jets are tough to run on and that was week 1. Jags game was a mess all around. Their recent history vs Cinci is to fall behind quick and struggle to keep up, so they didn't run enough.

If 4 sentences is an essay, I'm guessing you didn't do well in your English classes growing up.
I'm just keeping it real. The current formula they use in their losses is the main reason for their 5-4 record and going to prevent them from winning the division & possibly missing the playoffs

Yes. I know it didn't often look like we had a DC. But we did and he was it.
At this point i am guessing Grinch will have to go back to being a positions coach somewhere. He was scapegoated to some degree but it was his decision where to hitch his wagon.

48-20 is not a "someone had to win that game" score. I don't think the Bills are close to elite right now, which is abundantly clear.

The Dolphins have yet to beat a team with more than 3 wins (maybe the Chargers can change that tonight) though 8/9 weeks. At least the Bills beat these mighty Dolphins handily.
Good luck in your tallest midget contest.

I would argue their defense allowing the opponents to build an early lead was the real problem (or at least an equal problem), which makes sense given the losses they have on that side of the ball due to injury on all three levels (DaQuan Jones, Matt Milano, Tre'Davious White).

Elam being a disappointment (and now injured to boot) certainly has added to the issue in the defensive backfield. Letting Von Miller play his way back into shape may be at the expense of guys that were handling the pass rush effectively before he came back (Rousseau, Floyd, Epenesa).

Are the Eagles a tall midget too? Common loss to the Jets, wins over the Dolphins, Commanders; that's a third of the schedule that is pretty similar (although not as dominant over the Commies or Fins).

Sure. Are you going to equate the Eagles' pass rush with the Bucs'?
Never but a vet qb know you cant take a sack there. You throw it away soon as you feel pressure in that situation

No. They’ve had the best record or been tied for the best record in the league over the last 26 weeks of regular season football. The Eagles are pretty good, not just AFC East after Belichick’s demise Good.

Yikes.

Dak made rookie mistakes on that final drive such as getting sacked
Haha how is he not supposed to take that sack? It’s grounding if he chucks it from the pocket.

There was no path to him escaping the pocket there. 2 OL got beat clean.
