Love this shit.

Imagine getting so good at something that others try and emulate it and can’t do it. Imagine people wanting to legislate something out of a sport because an opponent is too good at something.

it will likely get banned and they will cite safety reasons

That said I don't have an issue with it.

The bills aren't going anywhere until they get serious about at least trying to establish the run

He says after a game where they out rushed the Bengals...

Game script didn't allow for a heavy dose of rushing last night. They do use Murray a lot for his pass blocking, but he's their least effective in ypc. Maybe Fournette takes Murray's rule ultimately? Or they need to trust Cook more, who's averaging 4.7 ypc on the season (tied for 8th among RBs) and has 506 yards rushing (10th in the league, although he has an extra game played on several others).

It'll be interesting. It's basically a QB sneak. Are they gonna make that illegal?

They just figured out how to put a turbocharger on it.

I guess they can say "player safety", but I haven't seen where anyone has ever been hurt (other than their feelings). running it or defending against it. Football is a high impact sport and that play is about as low impact as it gets.

As a Seahawks fan, I don't want to see it outlawed, I want their OC to install it and the DC to figure out how to defend against it.

All they need to do is make it illegal to push/assist ball carriers forward like it used to be. They could still do the sneak without the players pushing the QB from behind.

Didn't one team (Giants?) get two people injured on one play trying it?

Cincy run defense is ranked 29th out of 32 teams and you give your running backs 8 carries? You have to play to your opponent weakness at times. Not saying you come out and go run heavy but shit at least a 40/60 split maybe even 35/65

Easy to say, but when you're down 21-7, game plans shift.

Josh Allen is the Bills offense, you're never going to see them go really run heavy. They've leaned harder on the short passing game (RBs and Kincaid mostly).

That said, I think OC Ken Dorsey's seat has to be getting warm. Not in season, but I could see them making a change for 2024.

Not sure it was ever illegal in the NFL. I know it used to be illegal in college (it was illegal when USC beat ND with the "Bush Push"), but I think it's legal now.

Don't remember hearing about Giants players getting hurt, but I rarely watch the Giants.

It was illegal until 2005.

And yet…there are no safety issues. They’ll just be making up bull shit. From a safety perspective it’s no different than QB sneak that’s been run for decades. I agree they will ban it but it’s because the Eagles have become too good at it.

The Giants are retarded and they prove that each week in the NFL. That single play the Giants ran (and failed with) three four weeks ago to this point are the only recorded injuries on the play.
