Maybe young said he wants out or his agent did.

His body language and tone in the post game eagles interview was pathetic. Just my opinion.

Maybe they have approached young about an extension and he said forget about it or he wants to test the market. I dont know.
Young and Sweat are best friends. I would expect Young to want out. He did not get that 5th year option which means to him, the team did not have confidence in his knee/player. They should trade him because you will have to tag him to keep him as I don't believe he resigns here long term. Tez said in an interview this week, "they will regret keeping the tandem together". Well, "together" they have done very little.

how good is sweat? If he able to be the best player rushing the QB?

Sweat is a ten-ish sack per year guy that is good against the run. He does disappear for periods of time.

As for my fellow Skins fans, Toohill has performed every time he has been asked.

You g is our best pass rusher and it is not close; however, I do question his effort. The assignment football is a BS argument because you don’t ask a pass rusher in a QB driven league to play lanes…you get LBs to do that…oops, that is where we are screwed.

A high first rounder for Young would be my requirement.

Sweat has yet to be unleashed. His ceiling could very well be extremely high. He is currently our best pash rusher and is a very good run defender. You will receive very good value for a 2nd rounder. Now you have to pay him what he wants to retain him for the next 5 years. I would have rather traded Young than Sweat.
Young has played FAR better than Sweat this season... you trippin

My biggest concern about acquiring picks is we currently have the same people on the payroll that picked 0 starters for us in this past draft... Git 'em outta here!!

I would trade off Gibson, Samuel's, Brissett, Fuller, Young and go full rebuild with a new Head Coach in the off season

I really don’t see getting rid of those players as a rebuild.

We are keeping the heart of our defense with Allen and Payne. We are keeping our two best WRs in TMAC and JDOT. We would be able to resign Curl who is our best player…period. BSJ and Forbes can start outside.

Well it wouldn't be a full on rebuild just pieces that Rivera refused to upgrade

I think that is a given right?

I don't think Rivera is doing this because he wants to. I highly doubt Rivera wants to trade sweat or young.

I think harris and group said enough is enough and they are giving the orders.

The next order should be to trade young
The following order is to trade Samuel's, brissett, and Gibson.
The last order is for Rivera to clean out his desk.

I do think this is coming from Harris or the shadow GM he may already have in place behind the scenes.

Shadow GM is just pure speculation on my part. This season just reminds me of when Mike Shanahan was basically hired half way through the season and it was the worst kept secret in town.

Hard to imagine Harris making these decisions on his own with all the talk of doing things the right way. Plus, you know Ron would have loved to have kept Sweat.

Props to Ron and Mayhew for not getting fleeced when in the back of their minds they probably know they won't be here next year.

I was hoping they'd keep Sweat. I wonder who really made this trade. I would've went for the 2 3rd rders if that was really a thing.

I wanted to keep Sweat as well. Have to admit, i didn't see them pulling off a top 40 pick for him.
