I was willing to give him benefit of doubt until his last line in this quote

"in this current environment traits like integrity and character are no longer considered"

I think statements like this show me that he is not truly remorseful. IMO

Yep that was where I was going. It happened on the 5th and it took them two weeks to review to make sure they should fire him? I bet they were waiting to see if folks would forget so he could just continue to do work. Sort of like when cops go on "administrative leave".

Well he will be on Fox soon enough as the next Tucker Carlson. Because he seems to be a pro at blaming others for this actions.

lol - I did edit it and I probably should have kept the original because it was hilarious.

/The original was slut in case you're wondering.

Howard Cosell survived calling Washington Redskins receiver Alvin Garrett "a little monkey" on Monday Night football. Of course, that was back in the 1970's.

for @jstewismybastardson and @puckhead as well

was it ever true that a play by play once made the statement

"he was in there faster than an Indian in a liquor store" about Gino Odjick jumping on a loose puck? I had heard that story so many times I think I convinced myself when I was younger that I heard it live...

idk about that but I think iirc if you watch the video of Gino Odjicks first game / fightfest ... the Blackhawks colour guy said something similar ... borderline racist

One of the funniest things I ever heard as a kid (I'm talking nine or ten years old) was Bob Ridley on a Medicine Hat Tigers radio broadcast during an intense play-off game when a Tigers player had a glorious scoring opportunity say "he hit the fucking post". There was an audible pause for about 4-5 seconds before Bob continued lol

The old days of the KBL network that had the Penguin games. I will never forgot Mike Lange saying to the extent“test..test…test…I can’t hear fucking shit” while on air.

Anyone that remembers the old KBL network will know how awful it was.

in the 80's my friend was one of the first families to have a satellite dish, and the hockey feeds were direct from the truck or something, so the cameras and sounds stayed on the broadcast crew or rink while regular TV was showing commercials.
it was hilarious listing to the crew say what they REALLY felt while they were off the air.
discuss where there were going for drinks after, complement the new intern on the nice rack, etc.

it was a different time.
