Right, he can probably do that for an entire playoffs next year, good call

Not getting much for those

OK nevermind then, Lakers are serious contenders next year. This sweep was just a blip.

It's just funny how everyone is eager to write him off as done, then he goes out and drops a 40 pt triple double. He'll decline, but he shows no signs of a sharp decline.

Lakers aren't looking for big additions (or shouldn't be), they just need more or better role player additions.

Yes, I do consider the team that was just in the WCF to be contenders for next year. Do you not? Are you also writing the Celtics off?

@shopson67

Why would the Rox do this?

Reaves is obviously more mature.

But, he isn’t better than Porter Jr, who they have at 20 mil next year.

This is the real threat to the Lakers.

They can have max space.

But, what fool would give it to Reaves?

They would do it because they're one of the few teams with cap space to burn (barring Harden happening). Lakers can still match, it would just be a 10m/10m/25m/25m style contract.

Lopez makes sense as a vet big to add to the kids, I understand that one. Cam is a solid player to add to the mix as well. I'm not adding Brooks to a young team, sounds like playing with fire.

Plus, they don’t need all those wings.

They are already trying to rid themselves of Collins.

Also, they extended Bogdon at the end of the year.

Don’t need Reaves.

S&T Russell/#19 pick (or future pick) was probably the assumed framework before Russell tanked the WCF.

Again, "star" hunting without concerns for fit would be regression. Not much interest from me in this one. Can you imagine the complaints about refs with Trae and Reaves on the same team lol?

Did I say 'sharp decline'? I've been a fan of LeBron longer than you have since I liked him before he joined the Lakers. What I said was your rebuttal is stupid, as if he can do yesterday every night in the playoffs. He can't, and less so in a year. This isn't 2013.

Sure, they were so close this year.

Kinda, yeah. Celtics underperformed. Lakers probably got as far as that team can get. Guess what? So did the Warriors probably.

TF, say all of that is true….

You lost because Davis has the heart of a cowardly lion or the motor of a vespa with a dead battery.

Even if those things went your way, would that have prevented D’Lo from being a complete no show?

You lost.

Shaking your fist at the clouds not gonna change that.
Yes but convincing himself they lost because of the refs makes him feel better about the loss.

Lmfao

They need to target a guy on a team that wants to reset the franchise.

Maybe Beal or Lavine if those teams start over.

But, you gotta think guys like Trae, Dame will have suitors that can easily outbid the Lakers.

It’s not like Trae can say…I’m only willing to go to the Lakers.

Little thin haired fucker is under contract until 2026-27.

He has no leverage, the Lakers have fuck all in tradable players that others will want, except Davis.

The only way to get Trae is if he has become a negative asset and the Hawks are willing to take a weak offer.

Twist what I said to fit your argument. I merely said counting on Lebron to decline before he shows any real sign of it is premature. His age indicates it should happen, but then again that indicator has been flashing for a few seasons now. The team doesn't need him to play like that consistently, and even when he does (like last night), it has the undesired effect of freezing out the other players to some degree.

They lost 4 closely contested games. It's not like they gave up before game 3 like the Celtics.

Are you going to claim that anyone else in the West is ready to take it to the Nuggets? Are you claiming the West is a single contender conference?
