He worked on it a lot unlike some people. So when some people say things like he didn’t shoot 80% or whatever, he tried. Not saying he was a good free throw shooter, but I think his effort was good.

It's a good effort. But I want more.

Stockton 90%+
Malone 81%+
Kessler 71%+
Boozer 76%+
Markkanen 86%+ (check)
Gobert 66%+
Donovan Mitchell 90%+
Okur 81%+
Giricek 86%+

How long to get there? He is shooting 52.1% this year.
I don't know.

Maybe Hardy has a good FT shooting coach on his staff, or should hire one.

Does there have to be an official diagnosis for a "concussion"?

Does there have to be an official diagnosis for a "concussion"?

Yes, the diagnosis is “not accepting the job of losing for a better record so we’re going to hold you out.” This is not to be confused with Jordan Clarkson’s “I don’t want to get injured before my new contract“ diagnosis. Also, the “only playing until I can get traded, but not getting traded, so I will only play when I audition for the Lakers“ diagnosis for Sexton.

Of course, even without them, we almost beat the Lakers with an inspired Sexton. THT knew and accepted the instructions and missed 1 of his free throws in the last minute of OT and the backups let James travel and score the winning basket.

:L

Did Sexton every say anything publicly about not being happy here?

I don't like the "Walker Ranger" or "Skywalker" nicknames. They're not original. They're overused.

Every player with a name like "Walker" gets those same puns.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have a player named "Walker Buehler" who gets all of those puns already.

Plus the Jazz have two "Walker"s on their team.

"Stifle Tower" and "Truck" Robinson were great nicknames, because they were original.

I would go with this:

"Don't Walk This Way" Walker. When he blocks a shot, Walker can then hold out his palm, like a stop sign, his own version of the Mutumbo finger wave.

That way, it's a less used "Walk" pun, and the stop sign is a unique variation of it.

Has Skywalker ever stuck with any player? If it hasn’t, it’s still fair game. I mean, you wouldn’t want twin Mailmans as far as nicknames go. But if anyone ever was called the mailman before Malone, but didn’t stick, we would still want it to be used for Karl. maybe Kessler could be the one that stops the trend of all walkers being called that? He became so great that Skywalker became synonymous with his name and no one else’s in sports?

For example, there are other Finnish players in the world, are they all called the Finnisher? I don’t really like that name either, but whatever. Point is just that somebody else could think or use that name doesn’t make it a bad name. I just think you don’t like Star Wars and think it’s overhyped. What did George Lucas ever do to you?

As far as Walker Texas Ranger is concerned, Dodgers pitcher Walker Buehler has a lead on that name, and a few other ones.

He came onto the Dodgers a few years ago. So he already gets all of the Walker nicknames.

That's why Walker Kessler should get something really original, like my suggestion of "Don't Walk This Way" Kessler. Plus that makes sense since Kessler is a shot blocker.

I like the Finnisher because Lauri is a good player. If he were unremarkable, then I wouldn't want that nickname for him.

But, I think I like Lauri Laser better, and I don't even like alliteration. But I like that name, since it refers to his accuracy.

Then, it is settled. Plus, I think I have a nickname because of what you do rather than because of your name is better; since David Thompson got the nickname from his vertical leap, it fits better.

For the record, I didn’t necessarily want Skywalker as his nickname. I just didn’t want it dismissed just because people have temporary used it for others. But if they’ve used it for a while for one player who was good and for a reason other than his name, and it should go to him. I also had seen the light saber thing so I thought Kessler liked the nickname so that influenced me.

Obi Wan Ginobili was the first light saber meme I saw, back in 2005. So not even that was original.

So they should not do it if they aren’t the first, the TV crew should not record it and broadcast it, the Utah Twitter team should not post it, and I should not share it because some guy in San Antonio was coined that because of his name. Gotcha. Such a Scrooge. ;)

Blasphemy! Kessler’s first name is a lot longer. Twice as long, in fact.

"Emanuel" = 7 letters.
"Walker" = 6 letters.
