So @Mebert

A lot of people have weighed in here who aren’t Golden State fans.

And it looks like most agree that Draymond is better.

I don’t believe @msgkings322 is the homer in this discussion.

While @CitySushi was correct in what he said about these players being perfect for their roles on their teams in their eras, Draymond’s skill set projects to help more types of teams than Rodman’s.

And of course with each you have to have a strong locker room because they could both be cancerous to chemistry.

Draymond is a unique player, at the same time that kind of player needs a special fit. I don’t think the Warriors do what they do and get 4 rings without Draymond. I don’t think Draymond becomes the player we see today without the Warriors. Both sides better think long and hard before moving on from each other.

100 percent.

Had Dray went anywhere else he would not have been that guy.

He could've taken a bigger role and failed.

I am fine with thinking Draymond is better, that is not a homer take. The homer take was believing that he is significantly better and laughing at the idea of preferring Rodman.

I have also seen a lot of people that let Rodmans off court antics skew their view of Rodman. Go watch any of the legends from that time talk about Rodman, it does not line up with many on here.

Preferring Draymond: reasonable, justifiable....still wrong
Thinking the gap is significant: Blind homerism, sign that you have never satisfied anybody sexually.

I think the gap is significant.

Rodman did 2 things very well. But that was all he did.

Dray brings a lot more.

And for all the the press Dray gets about his antics and how he is a bad teammate at times…

He has consistently made his one and only team better.

The Spurs were so fed up with prime Rodman, that they traded him straight up for Will Perdue in an era where salary dump trades weren’t really a thing.

Say what you will about Draymond, but Rodman had a lot more trouble fitting into teams than Dray has.

Rodman also was a ket piece of 2 championship teams. Dray, by everyone's admission in here needs the warriors.

If you want to make the claim that Rodman was a bigger distraction I won't argue, he was a constant distraction...while also being the greatest rebounder of all time and the best defender of any team he was on. Dray is a great defender, Rodman was an another level.

Ummm…

I believe Draymond is perfect for the Warriors.

I don’t believe he NEEDS the Warriors. His style of play translates to a lot of systems in the modern NBA.

And the Warriors might have 0 rings without Draymond. So they clearly need him.

And I don’t give Rodman extra credit for winning in two cities. You only get that when you are the lead dog. Rodman was a key part of 2 supporting casts.

Dray was too.

Up 2-0. ..bold pick
Teams have come back from these types of deficits, especially a veteran team like the W's......Gonna go 6, maybe even 7.....just think these Kings are really good and going to win.

Stay butthurt though. It's what you do.
