5 negatives for the Commanders in season-changing loss vs NY Giants

The Commanders suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Giants and it seriously damaged their playoff chances. Here are the biggest negatives from the game.

There is no doubt that the 9ers have an advantage when Washington is on offense. Niners are #1 against the run, so the Commanders will have to throw more than they'd like to. However, in each of the last few games, the Niner D has blown a coverage and given up a deep TD and Washington has the deep WR threats to pull that off, but can the Commanders' OLine hold up long enough to make that possible? Judging from the NYG game...

The 9er offense will undoubtedly lean on the running game and the defense. CMC is coming off 2 straight 100yd games and the backup RB Jordan Mason has been coming on too. All the better to take the pressure off Purdy and try and avoid that Commie pass rush (though Purdy has played every bit as well as Jimmy).

Still, I expected a 5 or 6 pt line. Wasn't expecting a full TD point spread.

right now i dont thin falco can throw well enough nor can wince get out of the way of your pass rush if he is there

Not buying a good portion of this.

The defense gave up 13 points, that is good enough to win.

The offense gave up a minimum of 13 points and as much as 21 with fumbles and penalties. Not to mention two wide open WRs for TDs one under thrown, one not seen.

The offense scored 12 points.

That is why Washington lost the game.
