the team was in the weakest division, of the weakest Conference. Thats not a sign of great front office. If you exclude the teams Andy Reid built (that your brain trust got rid of BTW) you have one double digit win season since. (2017) What next? you gonna start counting probowls to the resume? You made the last three playoffs with 9-7, 9-7, 9-8, records. Lets not start counting that as the best Organizations in the time frame.
The Chiefs, (although now they have Reid) the Ravens & the Niners have always came back to be the talk of the town. & if you want to go back into the mid to late 90's the Niners was the team of the NFL.
The only consistency NFC East teams has had is at either being mediocre or inconsistent.
“If you exclude the teams that went to 4 NFC Championship games, 3 of them in successive years”. Yikes. You’re stumblin bumblin and fumblin through this one. The Eagles franchise has won more games and had more playoff appearances than both the Niners and Chiefs since 2000.

In no particular order: Patriots, Steelers, Ravens, Seahawks, Chiefs, Saints, Packers, maybe Indy.
Only the Patriots Steelers and Ravens have been better than the Eagles since 2000. Go look up the Eagles wins and playoff appearances since 2000. You’re gonna be shocked.

Packers and Indy better in both playoff appearances and regular-season wins. (Indy especially impressive considering they sucked for Luck and then Luck only played six seasons.)

So Eagles fighting for that sixth spot. Seahawks beat them if you don't count the 2000 season itself. If you do they tie in playoff appearances and Eagles slightly ahead in regular season wins. Saints more regular-season wins but not as many playoff appearances.

Chiefs I gotta plead recency bias.

yeah if they go into a more recent history then they have to add the Seahawks & Saints as a better organization.

So my claim that they’ve been one of the best run organizations in the NFL is really not that far off base. The big difference lies in how they “hit” on QB.
GB - Favre and Rodgers
Indy - Peyton Luck
Saints - Brees
Steelers - Ben
Pats - Brady
Seattle - Russ

Eagles never landed that shoe in HOF…McNabb is a borderline candidate at best.

More playoff wins than the Saints. More appearances. Tied for playoff wins with Seattle. More wins than Seattle.

So even if I give you all these teams (some of which I dispute) that puts the Eagles like 7 or 8 among 32 teams. Top 25% of the league isn’t enough to say they’re one of the best run organizations since 2000?

Does that make a big difference in this discussion or are you just deflecting to minutiae?
no. I stand by what I was saying.
You told me since Lurie bought the team (since I thought in the Superbowl era), then later said in the 2000's
There are a lot of better ran organizations than your team. You can try & turn it into a black & white thing if you want doesnt change this fact.
Your best time was in the Andy Reid era but even then your front office was battling with Andy Reid. Then outside of that one year. (2017) Really aint been shit since. I will give you all day the eagles were bad ass in the Andy Reid era. So switching time frame from Lurie owned team to the 2000's would make a big difference since majority of the 2000's were ran by Reid.

“A lot” is really about 7-8 teams tops and personally I put them no lower than 6 and maybe even 5. Not sure where your front office comments are coming from. Joe Banner was the first “capologist”. Nearly every front office now uses his techniques in robbing Peter to pay Paul to avoid being capped out and being able to adjust the roster from one year to the next.

Well..
.best ran in the NFC EAST for sure.

Great debate
Chest pumped out after 4 games. Next year when they start 1-3 they'll be calling for Howie's head again...
The delusions of Eagles fans far exceed those of any other fanbase...rinse, repeat

I tell you this.
You guys looked really good in the Andy Reid Era. Problem was your front office was in disarray if you remember during that era.
You definitely had good records, but to me that was in spite of your front office. Had a couple years after moving on from Reid (I think) of using Reid's team with some success, until it was finally gone. Since then you have your one anomaly year of badassness. That doesnt scream one of the best Organizations in the NFL. You havent had a double digit win season since that one anomaly season. Even though the Eagles were playing in one of the worst division in history. So. Sorry. They wouldnt make my top 5 Organizations.
I certainly would not group the Eagles as well run. They look good so far this season. I will say they are ran better than the Cowboys. That not saying much..

They did not win a superbowl during Reid's era. They probably should have. McNabb proved to be a major choker.
