Dak Prescott will need surgery on his right thumb after injuring it against the Buccaneers. He's expected to miss 6-8 weeks, sources said.

I don't see Jimmy Garprorlrorlol going anywhere and I think Lance sits after a couple more starts. I don't think Lance is ready yet. The guy had all the tools but he just has no experience. I think the 49ers still have a good enough roster to win the division especially if the Rams are imploding and Stafford is going to have issues throwing. The Cards suck and I don't see Seattle being a threat.

It seems stupid to sit the #3 overall pick for 2 years but the 49ers may have no choice. I think if Jimmy played today you guys beat the Bears.

Otherwise the obvious alternative is you just march Lance out there this season and pray for the best... and just throw em' to the wolves... but I think it'll be a sacrifice season.

We don't beat the Bears with Jimmy G out there because despite all the eyes being on Lance the biggest issue the 9ers have is the offensive line particularly the interior of it.


Nearly half of the dropbacks there was pressure with a 4 man rush mainly the interior and given the bad weather Jimmy G wasn't going to fair better.

Really a large reason they lost is on two of the Bears' TD drives they had penalties on 3rd down that extended drives instead of the Bears punting it away.
