You sure that you don't want the Lakers to acquire Draymond?
Let's be honest...every contending team should still want him. It's just a matter of even more baggage now.

I hope you're right that there is a strong market.

I hope you're right that there is a strong market.

The Warriors aren't trading him this season. Off-season it'll probably be fair game. The only way he gets traded is if the organization:

1) Feels they just don't want to put up with Draymond anymore (unlikely)
2) Jordan demands one of them is moved.
3) The tension in the locker room becomes divisive.

Other than that the Warriors are coming off a championship and there's no one who can replace what Draymond does for this team out there currently. They're not going to trade him for the sake of trading him.

The closest I can think of might be Magic Johnson who was given the nickname Magic while still in high school. But the NBA wasn't nearly as popular then as when Lebron came into the league and there wasn't as much sports coverage.

The only other athlete that I can think of that may have gotten anywhere close is Bryce Harper.
If we are talking HS hype, Todd Marinavich? Of course he didn't live up to it.

That’s not a “man’s move”. That’s a bitch’s move.
It was a bitch move.

But, had the video not leaked, the NBA nor Dubs would have done more than fine him.

But, it did...

...and after all the shit slinging Dray did about the Sarver situation?

Something is likely coming.

I agree but if he can’t hit open shots his balue is greatly decreased. With DG, DM and Mobley that SF will get a lot of looks. I like Dean Wade in that spot but we will see how much okoro improved his shooting
Not so much he'll need to improve his shooting as he'll need to be able to take more shots when open and shoot as well as last season when he was 48% overall and 35% from 3.

Seems like analytics guys would love him as most shots from 0-3 feet or 3 pointers. didn't take many shots anywhere else (and when he did was not making them).

Maybe this isn't normal, but most fights I've seen didn't start with a sucker punch.
Usually, there is some verbal challenge or a raising of fists to indicate intentions, but maybe there was a verbal challenge here and we just don't know about it yet.

Anyway, these are guys getting paid (or soon to be paid) millions and millions of dollars because they are worth millions and millions of dollars. The Warriors need to get a handle on this before they sabotage themselves. I still hope the Warriors can find a way to offload Dray, but they probably can't. I just think that he will continue to repeat bad behavior.

This fight didn’t start with a sucker punch either.

Words exchanged, who said what we probably never know.

Draymond got in Poole’s face, Poole shoved him, and Draymond punched him.

Call it a sucker punch if you want, but every fight I ever saw started with someone escalating it to punches. That was Draymond.

Dray’s punch was not the first action.

Just imagine how many games a player would get if they struck an opponent like that during a game. A penalty as severe is coming. I can feel it.

The Cavs will pass on $30M/year role player. They already have one and he is a sharpshooter that everyone Loves

I said "contending teams".

Once seemed a foregone conclusion he'd be gone by the end of his deal now I wonder. Be surprised if we moved him as an expiring deal as we lack shooters. Made a ton of money and could see him wanting to stay and signing a more than reasonable deal to do so if he enjoys this season as much as he seemed to last year.

Yeah he will be suspended by the team. I seem to recall Portis got a hefty suspension for punching a teammate.

Even that's different.

Portis put him in the hospital.

That's an interesting aspect. How much do you focus on the intent as opposed to the result? Based on the video, it seems like Draymond's intent was to do serious damage. Poole is lucky that he's not hurt.
