So I didnt get to watch but it seemed Bubba was having an ok night at the plate and the game was out of hand, the moment they decided to start Arihara. When you are trying to see what the young guys can do, why would you PH Kole for Bubba? That is BS. Let the kid hit, I want to see what he can do there.

From Gamecast it looks like this game was managed by a 6 year old soccer player.
Because Beasley like Woody loves Calhoun. It’s like Woody still making out the lineups. Someone in the Rangers organization needs to tell Beasley not to play Calhoun the rest of the season.

Now that there's going to be a shift restriction coming you wonder how many teams are going to try and fiddle with the 95' infield arc to give their players a slight advantage

And you have to wonder if MLB will go around and measure all the infields to ensure this doesn't happen???

And if anybody is caught trying it will we hear about it???

Another typical game this season...

Starter sucks BP has no pressure so they do goose eggs, starter is good so too much pressure for them to lock it down and they implode... :tsk:

Allard could replace Arihara: likely some improvement but definitely not a solution
according to the announcers last night the Rangers are talking about bringing Gray off the IL and having him start the Game 2 Monday.

We may still have a rover in mid outfield I am thinking. Yes there is a variance wher the turf meets the dirt. I am thinking the Rangers have the turf moved up as far as possible to minimize the new shift

Good thoughts

Some disagree and that is ok but to me this was one of the greatest sports moments. Grateful

don't think we can do that. according to the rule there must be 2 infielders on each side of 2nd base with both feet on the dirt when the pitch is made.

and they can still bring up an extra pitcher because of the doubleheader so they could still pull Gray off the IL and use him as the Game 2 starter

What a difference a pitcher makes. Perez retires first three hitters and Jays don't score. Nice change.

When I looked last weekend I thought with the off day Perez would pitch when I went. Or if not, then last Sunday's pitcher, Dunning. Alas, Mr. Beasley had other ideas.
