Kinda hard to believe nowadays, but on opening day last year, Marco Gonzalez was our ace. Now he is the rotation's weak link. When the season ended last year, Chris Flexen was our ace. Now he is in the bullpen. My how the turns have tabled.

I don't know if we have one ace, two aces, three aces, or four aces, but we have one of the most dominant playoff rotations in baseball.

Dipoto definitely did a great job rebuilding the rotation. Marco’s no ace for sure, but he’s one of the leaders of the locker room I hear. Certainly a key part of the team from a chemistry perspective.

But grabbing Ray in the offseason, adding Castillo, the emergence of Gilbert and Kirby have made this a rock solid rotation. It’s good for Marco that he doesn’t have to be the guy.
