He doesn't deserve to end up with a title contender. He got what he wanted. Him, Kyrie & Harden. It went worse than anyone could have imagined, I love it, but now he wants to run away to yet another team.

Maybe KD should fine his fucking backbone and start putting some of the blame on hiz boy that selfishly missed many games because his head was jammed up his ass.

And what the Nets want in return for KD. The entire front office should be drug tested. At this stage of his career he isn't worth what they're asking for in return.
Yes he is. You just want him to be a Celtic and you don’t want to see them have to pay the price for an All NBA superstar under contract for the next 4 years.

I haven't been here a ton the last week.

But, did you see Lavar get kicked out of the Drew League?

As for a Coaching candidate, how about Sam Cassell?

Snyder is out there as well.
Y’all can leave Sam alone please.

Yeah, that isn’t how it works.

And it is Nash’s fault he lost the locker room. He was overmatched in every way.

Actually it's exactly how it works

The only success KD has ever had was from white guys name Steve too

If he isn’t the best player in the league he is 2nd best.

How many more years will that be the case?

I don’t know.

But the Nets have no path forward to anything more than mediocrity without a fully engaged Kevin Durant.

And you paint him like a hanger on in Golden State. He was the best player on arguably the GOAT team.

I would also argue that getting a team close to a title alongside Westbrook who doesn’t fit anywhere and with terrible coaching is pretty compelling evidence of success.

Durant is sick of the BS surrounding him and the front office trying to get blood from granite. Now the Nets just got cornholed and Durant's anger just got his value decreased. Other teams will be bargaining for him from a vantage point.

My gut says that the Celtics original offer may be good enough to get the deal done.

I didn't know Lavar got kicked outta the Drew League. That's funny.

And Cassell makes sense. Been an assistant for many years.

This is funny. You think I want KD in Boston?

I challenge you to find a single of comment of mine where I have said anything like that.

Like I said, the Nets want too much in return for him, he's too injury prone now.

KD should be traded for Embiid. Reunite him with Harden. And Embiid could be reunited with BS.

I am not sure it is good enough to get the deal done, but it probably is as good or better than anything the Nets will get.

My bad. I just assumed you’d see the value in a team that was almost good enough adding one of the best players in the league in their quest to win a championship. Maybe I shouldn’t have made that assumption. From where I sit it seems pretty fucking stupid to want to hang on to solid role players like RWIII Grant Williams or Marcus Smart when you can get a player of KD’s caliber.

And based on the market set with the Gobert trade and the haul he brought, it’s a really tough sell to say the Nets want too much for one of the best players in the league that is still under team control for the next 4 years. You’re getting a champion motivated by his last chance to go out and win rings. 3 picks/swaps, Jaylon Brown, and 2 of 3 of Smart, Grant W or Robert W III is a very take for a player of KD’s caliber.

Nets are stuck. They can’t afford to get fleeced in a Durant deal. They already have sent much of their future to the Rockets. They need to acquire picks and players for KD.

You need to take into consideration what the Nets want in return for KD. It's too much. He's not in his 20's anymore.
The only thing that seems "pretty fucking stupid" is your inability to see KD's now injury prone.

And speaking of "pretty fucking stupid" again do you think the Nets only want RWIII, G. Williams & Smart for KD?

Hard no on that sort of trade from this Celtic fan's perspective.

If KD weren't a huge drama-queen... maybe.

Simply put: this off-the-court nonsense coupled with his age is a drag on KD's overall value... the Celtics are better off running with what they got (which is arguably the best team in the NBA already) if they can't get a better deal than that.

To be fair, you could also make the case that inexperience (championship level) cost them that series and that Tatum will be better next time around. They just ran into a team that had been there and done that multiple times and that experience was the difference.

Having said that, getting KD would be a definite "win now" move and conventional wisdom is that when you have a chance to "win now" you take it.
