So the Suns are seemingly out on KD. Sixers can beat any Heat offer if they include Maxey. A Toronto offer with Scotty Barnes would be tough to beat.
Yeah but it seems they aren't in the running as of right now.

If Philly isn't offer Maxey and Toronto isn't offering Barnes then BKN is shit out of luck. Not really any other options other than Miami and they probably have the least to offer out of the teams interested

Maxey to Lakers. Book it

Relax, we all know Bron Bron is going to take his talents to South Street soon. He produced that Adam Sandler basketball movie in Philly and it is only a matter of time before he heads East to cement his legacy with more rings.

Durant is a name that would be worthy of sending Maxey out. For me that’s it. For Morey it might also be Beal or Dame but neither of those guys seem to be moving anyway. The biggest hang up in a KD to Sixers situation would be the relationship between KD and Harden. Is that relationship done? Can those guys reconcile? How bad did it actually get with KD Harden? Every reports were Kyrie drama caused Harden to beg out but this summer the talk has been KD Harden relationship. Morey has to step up though. He can’t let a KD to Miami swap happen.

Gotta be a multi-team deal at this point. PHX and MIA don't have enough and like I said, TOR isn't offering Barnes. I just dont see it happening which is actually good for all the contenders minus the ones that thought they would get him. Keeps it more balanced.

Don't see it happening, but if it did, I doubt there would be issues with KD and Harden. If memory serves, KD wanted Harden in Brooklyn, Kyrie didn't.

Woj was just on Dan Patrick...

On Kyrie to the Lakers...neither side is in a hurry and don't have to be. Said that the Nets are more focused on KD right now.

He said that Buddy Hield and Eric Gordon are also possibilities.

He added that the Lakers don't need use their picks right now as there will be trade opportunities during the season.

Apparently, Bridges and picks hasn't even be offered to BKN in a trade, at least yet. Seems like a slim chance. I really think the only way KD gets traded is if Toronto offers Barnes or some team comes out of the woodworks with a crazy offer.

I see Kyrie being traded and KD staying.

It sounds like the Spurs aren't done and they still have $30M in cap space to acquire a bad contract.

3) How do the Spurs plan to use their cap space? The Spurs are actively looking to rent out their cap space in exchange for draft capital. With All-Stars like Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and Donovan Mitchell on the trade market, the Spurs are hoping to be handsomely rewarded for helping to facilitate the acquisition of one of those big names.

4) According to multiple sources, the trade that is closest to happening involves Kyrie Irving being sent to the Los Angeles Lakers and Russell Westbrook being routed to the Spurs. To facilitate that trade, the sources tell me the Spurs want an unprotected first round pick from the Lakers.

5) A Spurs insider tells me that starting center Jakob Poeltl is likely to be traded by the start of the season. Now that Ayton is back with the Suns, the market for Poeltl should begin to heat up. Josh Richardson is also actively being shopped by the Spurs and could find a new home sooner rather than later.

What do the Spurs want in return for Poeltl and Richardson? The insider tells me the Spurs are currently investigating opportunities to include Poeltl and/or Richardson in the aforementioned mega trades involving Irving, Durant or Mitchell. If adding Poeltl and/or Richardson to a trade results in the Spurs getting an unprotected pick in return, that type of deal takes priority.

For example, if the Brooklyn Nets want Poeltl and Richardson as part of a three-team trade involving Irving and the Lakers, the Spurs would be willing to do that as long as they’re compensated with sufficient draft capital — preferably of the unprotected variety.

Sixers available draft capital puts them behind the major contenders.
Maxey mitigates that. On top of that, Sixers available 1sts for trade match up well. You don’t want a Sixers pick until 2028-29 anyway. By that time Harden (potentially KD) and Embiid will be past their primes and breaking down.

Damn if the Nets trade KD and take back Poeltl and Richardson. Yikes. I don’t care what picks are involved that might be up there for one of the worst trades in NBA history.
