I wanted to go to Vegas....the wife did too....then she wanted to go to Nashville because her fam is here. Guess who won? Now.....she is disenfranchised with Nashville....so we're onto Vegas next summer.....

So I won in the long run....right?

You sure you want to move to Vegas, DJ? We are in a 5-year drought and large water reservoirs like Lake Meade that supply Vegas are so far down they are finding dead bodies in barrels and cars and sech. This is a quote:

"A massive drought-starved reservoir on the Colorado River, Lake Meade has become so depleted that Las Vegas now is pumping water from deeper within Lake Mead where other states downstream don't have access."

Phoenix is nearly in the same boat. No pun intended. And dudes, todays' temps here in Phoenix, 113 degrees Fahrenheit. Forecast the same for the next week. It's a dry heat and WE LOVE IT HERE!

Phoenix was also in the discussion as well....both are quick trips to my home. May never live there again but visiting it?

BTW, bottled water sales here in Phoenix, sky-rocket this time of the year. I go through one and half, 2-Liter bottles of water from Crystal Geyser nearly every day. When it gets this hot, tire sales also go-up because tires blow-out left and right out on I-10.

And the worst temps are ahead. August is brutal. Not uncommon to go weeks on a stretch of 115-118 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and 98 degrees Faharenheit through the night. Yep, we love it here in this desert!

yah I have seen a few stories where people in the West want to build a huge aquaduct and re-direct some of the Mississippi out west and refill a lot of the bodies of water out there- and that the states on the Mississippi are dead set against it.
