It has already been explained to you why this investigation is a good thing and very important if we want Snyder out. No Congress will not remove the anti-trust exemption, they will never get the votes. But they can keep the pressure on and create yet more smoke. Are you actually aware of how many of these things Congress does on a weekly basis? If you looked into it you would see how often they "waste tax payers money". Few were making that claim when Congress investigated Deflate Gate or steroids in baseball. While it may appear as if this is all to get Snyder there is some truth that this investigation can lead to legislation that will offer better protection in the work place for everyone. I don't consider that a waste of time and money.

But it's not the GOP mantra today, then feel any investigation is a waste of time and money. Did you say that about all the Benghazi investigations? How much time and money was spent on that and what exactly did that turn up? I'll wait. How about Bill's impeachment hearings? This was all for lying about a blow job. You feel that an attack on our United States Capital by a gang of thugs in a desperate attempt to keep their guy in power is not worthy of an investigation as you have just shown. Clearly that was more serious than a President lying about having sex. So there is no reasoning with people who think this way and I don't expect that to change with you.
unfortunately benghazi was true , a gang of unarmed thugs as opposed to what ? burning down cities and causing 2 billion in damage ? bill's impeachment was garbage and shouldnt have happened but i dont think i am worried about a dude in a horn hat as some threat to declare himself grand mystic ruler of the US

its a waste of time if they dont do anything just as all the other "bogus " investigations on either side . i dont give a crap about pressure and smoke because eventually the news cycle will move on

But the point remains pressure and smoke is very critical if you want Dan Snyder removed. Owners have said as much, sponsors are watching. So we most definitely do not want the news cycle to move on from this, we need the story to remain front and center and very public. A Congressional investigation is doing just that.

betrayed is pretty strong. I dont see the problem with Commanders even though the fans did pick it. I'm sure some fans chose that option. Sure Warriors was #1 and Redwolves was #2. It could of been a lot worst like Red tails.

A gang of unarmed thugs as opposed to nothing, Morty. Nothing.

The gang of “unarmed” (not true) thugs was hellbent on doing damage to government property (which they did), and professed a desire to hurt or kill various democratically elected leaders (also true).

What they did was treasonous and at the very least against the law and anti-american, and those that support them are also acting “treasonously” for lack of a better word and anti-american.

Arguing with a Trump guy, who considered January 6th to be nothing but "a dude in a horn hat" and when it was a direct attack on our Democracy, is pointless.

They don't get it and never will. But the history books will remember, that's for sure. They will look really foolish in 50 years and for the rest of time for taking the position they have taken.

Its important to shove logic into the face of the fools who desperately need it, though you are correct that they wont ever, ever get it.

For some of these folks, this is the only dose of reality they ever see/interact with, despite their insistence on “doing research.”

This is a group that insists the election was stolen. However when presented with the very simple question if this was so massive and obvious then why weren't Trump and the GOP, with all of their challenges, able to prove it? They have no answer for this, every time I asked they crawled under the bed and do not respond.

This is a group that still insists a group intent on stopping the peaceful transition of power that is spelled out in our Constitution by taking over our Capitol and threatening to hang our elected officials was no big deal.

This is a group that denied the dangers of a worldwide virus that has killed more Americans than all our wars. When given the option of taking a life saving vaccine they instead took and promoted the use of a product made to de-worm livestock. This idiocy forced the manufacturer to put out a warning that their product is not for human consumption, still their "research" told them they should do this anyway despite the warnings.

This is the group you are addressing. And we have learned that it is pointless to try to reason with them.

Good to see you brother! I hope all is well.

I agree. I was disappointed that Congress did not bring up the allegations of Snyder cooking the books. Perhaps they will if Dan testifies? You would have to think that Dan is stalling until the mid-terms. If he does testify, he will plead the 5th or lie through his teeth. I am not sure he does even need to take the 5th. This is a congressional hearing, not a trial right?

Any lawyers experts?
What up, duke. I'm good, brah. How you doin? Cooking the books eh. I hadn't heard that. Snyder keeps his fingers in some pies don't he.

@Niner Outlaw is a lawyer and he drops by the forum from time to time. He's a good dude.

Barry Shreck(sp) destroying the state's DNA evidence.

Mark Fuhrman lying under oath about never using the n-word. Why Marcia Clark had a 1990s LAPD police officer testify under oath to never using the word. Let's just say that was a mistake.

Chris Draden having OJ put on those gloves used in the murders that looked 2 or 3 sizes too small. What people may not know is just before that. OJ had a visit from a friend of his. His friend told OJ to stop taking his arthritis medication, OJ had arthritis in his hands and when he didn't take it. His hands would swell up really bad. Which led to the famous J Cochran line, 'If the gloves don't fit. You must acquit.'

The jury really wanted to acquit OJ and the 3 things above gave them plausible reasons to do so even though he was guilty as all fuck.

Its lame. Though its a lot better than something DC-centric like Monuments. That would've been in all ways terrible and maybe too much for me to even bear.

And while skinsdad seems to think Commanders was born outta some wokeness agenda. I think it was chosen because it has definite ties to the military. I think they could've used Warriors at one time and the transition from Redskins to Warriors could've been pretty seamless. They might've had to stop using the warrior chief emblem, the best and coolest emblem in all North American team sports and that would've hurt no doubt. But the spear n feathers emblem is pretty freakin cool and maybe they could've went with a W and some feathers as an alternative, like the R and feathers Lombardi had made up. And that would've been cool. Sure some Native Americans would've still been mad and made some noise, but unlike Redskins which is directly related to Native Americans. Terms like warriors, spears and feathers are pretty universal. Countless cultures around the world and throughout history can be associated to warriors, spears and feathers.

The biggest problem though, which has always been the biggest problem for the Skins during the Snyder Era. Snyder himself. He went about handling the situation in his usual manner and it bit him in the ass, as has damn near every issue he's had concewrning his ownership of the Skins. Once he opened his mouth, he made a bad situation worse n worse until it finally became toxic losing whatever support, at least the support that truly counts. And as Snyder has shown time n time again. Fan support has never really been in the category that counts.

Red Tails would have been amazing. Honoring a group of men who defied all odds and fought for their country would have been amazing. The Tuskegee airmen are true American heroes. It would have been an honor to cheer for a team named on their behalf. They represent the best of America. You are wrong and do not know the history of the Red Tails.

Tell me this Dean, if we want Snyder gone, just like you do, what can we as the fans do? What can the fans do to help push him out? Should we do something or let things stay as is?

I like the word betrayed actually. I feel betrayed that funds used to support the team went to pay for a penalty due to creating a culture of abuse and intimidation toward women.

I feel betrayed that the funds we spent on the team possibly helped go to pay for lawsuits to women who were assaulted and victimized. The fans should not have had any part of that and it should have come from Dan 100%. I believe the women should be entitled to high compensation from Dan himself due to the culture he created and fostered.

I felt betrayed that the team I supported had an owner and executives who harassed and violated the civil rights of its female employees.

Do you not feel the same Dean?

Our only hope is that Snyder crumbles under the pressure and slips up. We need the owners to act and do something. Hopefully, somebody rattles him and exposes the truth. There are only 2 ways Snyder goes:

1. The owners vote him out.
2. He goes bankrupt or the team becomes broke.

I dont dimmish what the Tuskegee airman did in the war. I just dont like the name red tails for a football team. I like Commanders better. Unfortunately, we as fans can do nothing. I think the only way Snyder he is gone is that the owners will have to vote him out. I could be wrong. I don't feel betrayed that we chose the name Commanders. Mark Cuban and Richardson from Carolina have been fined for bad behavior. So, it does happen. I don't condone it, but it does happen

I gotta say I'm not the biggest fan of Red Tails either. Respect the hell outta the real Red Tails air corp. What I think I could've gotten behind though was Red Hawks, which is a new fighter jet honoring the Red Tails. Below is what it looks like. Unfortunately whether Red Tails or Red Hawks that might've clashed too much with the Jets. That's a sweet looking plane though. I recall a tv show starring Gabrielle Union I believe as a detective in futuristic DC. It didn't make the cut far as going beyond its pilot season, but in one episode. I think there was a scene at a professional football game in DC and the home team was the Washington Red Tails. The had a quick scene which involved showing a play in the game. I can't front. The unis looked pretty sweet including the Red Tails emblem on the side of the helmet. So who knows. I liked Red Wolves well enough also, but from jump street when I first heard of the possibility of a name change. I was and still am on the Warriors bandwagon. Washington Warriors flows nicely off the tongue and they could've used the 75th anniversary unis and the throwbacks unis, both of which I dug quite a bit.
