Here are the 3 picks that the Thunder gave up in the Knicks trade

Lol. Dear god the Knicks are a horrible franchise

Dan Snyder could buy them and it would be an upgrade
So, the Knicks should get at least 1 conveyed next year (Denver).

I believe the Denver pick went to det and they got back the mil pick in 2025

Less protected but further out

Sounds about right. Most think the Thunder reached a bit for Dieng but can take some time with him. The Thunders first 3 picks have wing spans ranging from 7 ft 2 to 7 ft 6. Also of note is that the Thunder took two guys names Jalen Williams. Jalen and Jaylin.

The thunder can replace any of those picks next year with kembas contract coming off the books

Read a little about Shareef last night because I figured the Lakers would give him a shot if for no other reason than out of respect for Shaq. He was a 4 star coming out of high school which indicates he has some talent. But yeah, that heart condition set him back.

Apparently Shaq wanted him to go back to school for 1 more year since he was a medical redshirt, but the kid has confidence and decided to bet on himself. It'll be interesting to see if it works out for him.

Lakers also sign Fabian White to an Exhibit 10 and invite RJ Cole to Summer League along with O'Neal and the 2 way deals for Pippen Jr and Swider. Interesting Summer League team piecing together here, imagine Christie will involved too....

I was not hugely into this draft since the Cavs really dont need another young guy--- but I think they took a good player who is a good fit. Reading about the guy he seems to fit their culture as a good team guy with a great work ethic.

I am by no means giving up on Okoro- but if Okoro does not take the next step maybe in a couple years the guy they drafted is the starting 3. Now Okoro is going to be pushed a little- which is always a good thing- and they get some wing depth with a high ceiling 3 and D wing.

Really like the Cavs roster. Tons of young talent. Lot of depth. Supposedly the team is talking like its a given Rubio is coming back too.

Projected Depth Chart:

PG: Garland- 22 years old
SG: Sexton- 23 years old
SF: Markkenen- 25 years old
PF: Mobley- 21 years old
C: Allen: 24 years old

bench:
Okoro- SF- 21 years old
Rubio: PG: 32 years old
Love: PF/C: 33 years old
Agbaji: SG/SF: 22 years old
LeVert: SG/SF- 27 years old
Osman: SG/SF- 27 years old

deep bench;
Wade- PF- 25 years old
Stevens- SF- 24 years old
Goodwin- PG- 26 years old
Windler- SG - 25 years old

Pretty young, talented and deep. It should be a fun season to watch these guys continue to grow. I like they have a lot of stability....another year with pretty much the same core under the same coach. That def matters. Still a ton of growth left in most of these guys.

I don’t believe in taking guys for immediate impact since so many rookies struggle and very few make an overall positive contribution in the playoffs (some might score, but most get roasted defensively)

Abajis defensive metrics are meh for a guy with his reps

Not getting Williams might’ve messed with them

I probably would’ve gone Eason or taken someone’s trade up offer

Yeah, I usually try to watch as much summer league as possible anyway, but this summer league team is going to be real interesting. It might be as or more interesting than back when they had all the kids playing on it.

Piston and Packers both had nice drafts last night to potentially make them competitive teams. With last years improvements of the Cavs and Bulls last season and the Bucks being great the Central looks like a pretty tough stretch for teams to make it through this year.

I hear Aaron Rodgers is a better 3 point shooter than Steph. :D

Really like what the pistons and rockets did.

Sixers did fine adding a key bench piece to replace basically curry and lower their cap slightly. If they can still manage to land pj tucker they’re interesting as hell.

Unless jovic stashes a year I’m not sure what Miami did

Okc another winner. But hard ti mess up 3 lotto picks and do it while internet til ally tanking for new frenchy next year

Knicks and heat losers so far.

I hate that I miss it so much, but still find it hilarious my autocorrect doesn't recognize the Pacers. I am fully aware I can add it to its dictionary, I intentionally choose not to.

I hope both Garza and Livers play in the summer league this year. I want to see what they do alongside Ivey and Duren.

They are horrendously managed, so it isn’t happening anytime soon.

The Cavs are doing an amazing job.

And yet, the Knicks are still more likely to win a title before the Cavs do.

Might not be until 2050.

You do realize that it doesn’t matter how bad the Knicks are now. The only way you are right on this is if the Cavs win a title. As promising as the current core is, you and I both know the odds are against that.
Yep.

KD is gone if Russ goes to BKN but then again not sure why the Nets would settle for Russ. Literally makes zero sense other than a 3-team trade where another team takes Russ

Oh I knew it wasn't something reasonable. Just the thought of KD & Russ back together would be funny.
