So you want to bounce from realistic to unrealistic?
Whoever mentioned zero percent chance is probably talking in realistic terms. If so you are looking at about zero percent chance.
If you want to look at unrealistic terms. He has about a 100 percent chance to stay. Why not say if the browns offered him to be the owner of the franchise? Would he stay? I mean if you are gonna say unrealistic shit. Go all in.
I mean, 4 years, $160 mil seems unrealistic right now no doubt....but IF he could be the starter there is a number he'd accept to stay and if the browns offered he'd take it.

I don't ask those questions because it's not needed to make my point.

The guy exaggerated. If I made a comment like that and got called on it there is 0% chance you'd attempt to come to my rescue (nor would I want you to but I've never been into the argue based on poster and not post dynamic some are), especially when you knew I did, in fact, exaggerate.

They signed Brissett to be Watson back up. They have been trying to trade Baker. Now it's just haggling for the best deal on the Browns part. Baker will not be on the roster when the season kicks off.
put a "likely" in front of will not I'd agree with that comment.

They signed Brissett to back up Watsonnot start for an entire season instead of Watson, which is what we are talking about. That happens and all bets are off IMO.

Yet they have been trying to trade Baker, so how does that makes sense?
Because if they can make a deal that helps the team they'll make it?

what part of my comment do you disagree with? Here it is again...They signed Brissett to back up Watson, not start for an entire season instead of Watson.

They signed Brissett to back up Watson and fill in for him when needed, appears to be the plan.

Do you think they saw him playing an entire season? Has any team ever signed Brissett to be a full time starter?

If Watson is suspended for the season or injured and not able to play then yes.

Has any team ever signed Brissett to be a full time starter?
I believe the Colts did and he was the starter in 2017 and 2019 I believe.

Anyhow it looks like the Browns intend for him to be Watson backup and trade Mayfield for what ever they can get for him.

If Watson misses the whole season it won't matter who plays in his stead. The Browns were a fringe contender going into 2022 and if they get nothing out of the 2022 resources they've used on Watson they're not going to progress forward.

Luck was the expected starter for 2017 when Brissett was signed. Then he retired. could be right about 2019. Not sure how long Brissett was signed for in 2017 so might have been extended to be the starter for 2019.

It certainly did seem like that was the plan thinking a shorter suspension was looming. Now they might as well wait and see what the suspension is to decide. Maybe that's what they've been doing unless wowed by an offer?

I would love to know what the Browns were thinking when they traded for Watson, but we'll likely never know. What we do know is they signed Brissett and been shopping Mayfield. So....looks like Brissett is going to be filling in when needed and Mayfield will be traded for whatever they can get.

Mayfield will be gone by the start of the season. If this wasnt true. They wouldnt be separating him from the rest of the team during practice.
This is the Browns plan.

I don't. Teams treat draft, trade, FA, etc. intel like they are the CIA.
Classic!

Coming from the guy who speculates as if he is talking facts. Attempts to lead readers that he's in the Brownies meetings.

Got to love this forum.

Or how about use your own argument - look at his past history - when things did not go the way Baker wanted, or he wasn't treated like he thought he should have been, or given what he thought he earned, he went to a different team...

I find it hilarious that you used this "Look at his past history" argument for several post until I pointed out that he left TT for OU for not being treated/given what he thought he earned, was deserved...then you simply ignored it because it was damning to your agenda.

If you are going to troll, you could at least be better at it. Maybe you and RTK can get together and have some study sessions.
I think dtgold88 is "trolless".

A cross between clueless and an inability to troll.

0%? What if I told him I'd give him $160M to come to your rescue?

I find it hillarious - OK, typical - you were scared off by another question. Once again, it was the Browns offer Baker 4 years and $160 mil he says no?

The leaving TT for OU supports my comments. You really seem confused by the notion for this discussion we are assuming the Browns are allowing Baker to be the #1 QB. I told you that then and again just now. No need to lie to make your point.
How cute.

But, they "mutually" agreed BM doesn't need to be at camp.

Does the left side of your mouth know what the right side of your mouth spews out on a continuous basis?

They (and you) ignore them because if they answer it makes their previous comments look foolish. If Baker was paid what he wants he would sign without thinking twice. Meaning there is more than zero interest by him in staying here.

One person like you who is afraid of questions I know often says "another dumbass question".....yes, if you answer you'll look like a dumbass.
So, Skippy what meeting where you in when this all came out?

Or is it just more fluff and buff speculation that you attempt to pass off as fact?

Derp.

Got to love this forum.

Haha. Let's try this.....I realize it's a question - so brace yourself - but do you agree with him that "Baker has zero interest in staying?"
He can still have zero interest, but take the money. I sure would if I was him. Doesn’t mean I’d be interested in the browns though, just interested in the money

Do you think the FO thought Watson was going to get suspended for a long time when they signed Brissett?

Who else do you think that amazing FO should've signed knowing they already burnt the Baker bridge.

How many teams have three starters on their roster.

Dumb questions are fun. Don't be scared answer them without your normal dance if you would. My head already hurts.

I think we do know what they were thinking. They were thinking he's a top tier QB, better than the guy we have and QB is a really important position. Let's make an effort to get this guy.

Your last comment is your agenda based opinion. If Baker was going to be "traded for whatever they can get" he'd be gone already.
