Superbowl Pats Versus Giants - OT

Maybe its because I'm not a football fan but I cant say the Giants won. They Pats let them walk right in and score...LITERALLY WALK IN! Thats like being up by a goal and still pulling your goalie. Fuck that! Try to cause of a fumble or something, dont let them out right score.

However, I am hoping this "win" leads to a Rex Ryan firing somehow.

I will confess that I wanted to see the Pats lose because I'm still bitter about that 15 game losing streak vs. the Pats (though I was happy that they ended it this year).

So, that said, I'll say that I was surprised the Pats kept it as close as they did. Mostly because I expected the Giants O to be able to put up more points against the Pats mediocre D.

Credit to the Pats for getting their D in order at the right time of the season. When you can hold your opponent to 21 and you've got one of the best offenses in the league, you've done your part.

At the same time, not trying to argue the Pats O choked (as many people are slamming them for) because that Giants D was phenomenal in the playoffs, averaging an amazing 14 PPG despite playing the best O in the league, and two more of the top 11.

It was certainly an exciting game to watch the ending of. And you know Bradshaw heaved a giant (no pun intended) sigh of relief when that hail mary fell incomplete.

Calculated risk. They've got one of the best offenses in football and they decided it would be better to have to go for a TD with a minute and one time out left than to have ~15-20 seconds and no timeout to get into field goal range.

All I'll say is that, had it worked, it would be proclaimed as the greatest coaching move in SB history.

Anyways I have said what I wanted to say.

Biz enjoy it man your team got the win and that is a great feeling. No sour grapes from me. I still think Brady is amazing and the Pats are a great team. 2nd best in the league aint terrible. Of course I would have preferred the win but all in all a well fought game.

I think based on the down they could have only gotten it to about 20 seconds, but I could be wrong.

Bradshaw didn't get it.
It clicked what he meant when he was on the two, causing the mega-mega awkwardness we al witnessed. lol

It was 2nd and 6 when he ran it in for the TD.

If he falls down, the Pats have to use their last timeout. Then the Giants could have taken a knee to burn off the clock before calling their last timeout to kick the FG.

I think you're right that about 20 seconds would still be left in the game, but the Pats would have no timeouts left, and need to go 80 yards get a TD to win.

They still made the right choice.
