How soon they forget. You know it's not hard to be a really bad team in this league. Take Tom Brady away & the Patriots don't even make the Super Bowl.

I agree Bolts...and I think I should clarify...that wasn't some random blogger.... That was a Pats football writer...his name is Eric Wilbur

Damn, sorry, I forgot that...just...don't read a post I had on the last page. DON'T DO IT.

I'd neg you, but I think that sort of thing is childish. The defense won Eli his first Super Bowl. The same thing could be said for the second. Jason Pierre Paul should be the MVP.

In New England they've won a lot in recent years. The Bruins, Patriots, Celtics & Red Sox have all done very well. Fans & WRITERS get spoiled. It wasn't too long ago everyone in New England expected the Red Sox to choke. This WRITER obviously has forgotten that fact.

My thoughts:

Well played game
Eli deserving MVP, big props to Manningham for a clutch performance as well
Commercials were terrible
Congrats Biz and BWF!

I don't think it was a well-played game. The game was kinda sloppy, but it was entertaining because it was a close game.

I liked the game. I think both teams played decently, but I do not think either team played great or was great. I do not think any of the teams in the NFL this season was a truly great one.

My thoughts:

  • Fuck the Giants.
  • Commericals were terrible, but the halftime show wasn't a steaming pile of crap. Best part was when the one girl gave the finger and the censors were slow on the blurring.
  • Fuck the fucking Giants.
  • Fuck the Eagles too, if we hadn't blown any of five fourth quarter leads the Giants would be sitting at home watching the game. They wouldn't have been watching the Eagles, we would've lost to GB or Atlanta, but hey, at least the Giants wouldn't be in a game they didn't deserve to make.
  • Seriously, fuck the Giants.

Ok, im hating. I understand its a strategy, but how you just gonna let a team score in the championship game?

How can you say the Giants didn't deserve to be in that game? People and sports are just fucking hilarious.

I eanjoyed the game. I have not seen that much hitting and good tackling in an NFL game in a long time. Both defenses played well and brought the wood tonight. people are too caught up on offense. maybe the offenses were not bad, the defenses were just good. That pic by the Mike covering Gronkowski downfield was a huge play and a tough catch for a WR, let alone a Mike backer

(spoken by a former safety/linebacker who loves defense)

After a good nights sleep I reflect.

It was a tough game. I do not think it was all that great of a game. To me the Pats shitty defense was exposed. 3:30 to go in the game and the Pats "bend dont break defense" gives up a 55 yrd pass to put the Giants in the position to win?? That is breaking not bending. I do not think the officiating was bad at all albeit that safety call was a joke. The ref's let them play.

Gronk being a non factor really hurt the offense for the Pats. I haven't looked yet but I think he only had 1 catch. Walker was the main target and he delivered though out the game. The pass he dropped was a lousy throw by Brady not really his fault.

Basically the Giants did what they needed to do and that was to lower the score and not let Brady and company run up 30 points. That is why they are the Champs this year.

By the way I am NOT saying anything negative about the Giants in my above post. I am more critical of the Pats short comings is all.

Giants did more to win then the Pats.

What did you think was wrong about the safety call? Brady was clearly inside the tackle box, and he was in the EZ when he threw the pass. Also, there wasn't a receiver within twenty yards of where the ball fell. I didn't see anything wrong with that call, but maybe i missed something :noidea:
