FWIW, I think he got an absolute steal with Gabriel Davis... But with his WR group he could end up an unnecessary luxury.

I don't see Davis going past Rd 4 in August drafts... His value is just too good to be true right now

Given those top three, yea, luxury, and unless a guy in line for starter snaps is a general injury risk, I didn't want to over complicated stuff too much going into the benches.

No, I have, certainly. I've also watched him miss a huge chunk of time, and then they put 300 touches on his shoulders last year, 100+ more than hed ever had in a year. So it might be in his, and the Chargers, best interests, long term, to adjust that...thus drafting a bigger back to use.

This day 3 stigma might be giving you tunnel vision. If a guy can gain 3-4 yards between the tackles, that may be good enough to do what they want, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's worth a higher valued pick as he obviously had other deficiencies. He fits a role they need filled (if they want to ease Ekelers load), regardless of where they drafted him. If they don't want to ease that load, then I'm wrong, I misread the situation, and they're totally fine burning Ekeler out

Like I said..he's already a bigger dude, and the Buc's have no investment in him beyond this year..no pass catching specialist is vulturing TD's from him, and outside of maybe saving him for a playoff run, there zero reason not to run him into the ground all year long

Chubb, if it's Brissett, they'll need to run him into the ground. If it's Watson, they won't, but he'll have a little more room...either way, it's not bad.
Gibson, one of my personal favs, too bad he's on a bad team, and kinda proved that he's not built to handle the bigger load. But still a viable RB2
Chase, already squarely in the picture for #1WR
Allen, while he's never been a guy I personally go for, he's always a producer. Most would be happy with him as a WR1, here he's a 2.
Mike Williams, now..doubling up on a WR stack is a little suspect, tripling up with the QB/WR/WR stack, in a suicide formatt, is dangerous. If Herbert gets dinged..your down A LOT. That said, Williams scores points. Period. And stealing AROB late, plus Woods, in his back pocket, it'll likely be ok.
TE- well here's the head scratcher. Yes Gronk is very very likely to re-up with TB. But even if he does, is he better than Ertz who went undrafted?? Not in my book. And in the off chance he doesnt and re-retires, that's just 14 or so weeks of zeros
Saints...would've been better off with the Ravens, Colts, Niner, Bengals, all available when the Saints were picked, but minor details.

Grade B- that TE, and the reliance on the Chargers air attack or its higher.

Yeah I made some gambles with TE and my Chargers stack but like you mentioned my backup WR’s are GOOD. I thought long and hard about TE, I saw Henry there and honestly I didn’t really give much thought to Ertz. Probably would have done it over if I had the chance…but fuck it, IT’s SUICIDE

Milk's review of his draft!!! and the execution of the 0'ish RB strategy

1. Justin Jefferson- Whether i am right or wrong, he was my safest WR in this draft... i admit to be clouded by the probable decrease in stats from Hill, Kupp and adams...

2. Ceedee Lamb- i was already committed to my strategy... Clear best player available... and i am very high on him

3. Kyle Pitts- First reach to execute my plan... I did not like the WRs at this point, so went with the highest ceiling non RB i could find... Although this was a big reach IMO, i could see myself doing this in any other league with or without a crazy strategy.

4. AJ Brown- if i wasnt doing this strategy i would have never taken him... I am not a fan of any third round and 4th round receivers... but he was necessary for the strategy, so he was taken... As he was the best available receiver

5. Cam Akers- Running backs fly in MBBRL leagues... if i waited any longer i was not going to get teams #1... akers may be an injury risk, or even more so a might never return to 100%, but he was the last RB who had RB1 potential... and he is on an elite offense...

6. Breece Hall- Call me a homer... its fine... but i honestly think he was the BPA... Jets have so much talent in the skill positions right now, that all they need is Wilson to be serviceable, and then they could be a decent offense... but they are clearly going to use the run game to open everything else up... and thats where Hall comes in... he will be a stud...

7. Damien Harris- i took 2 risky RBs, needed to take a SAFE RB(weird to say for a patriots RB)

8. Jalen Hurts- original plan was to go 5 RBs in a row... got three in but now QBs are flying off the board, if i dont take one now i will be stuck with someone i dont like... Hurts was my target QB from the beginning, and why i didnt jump earlier to get one...

9. Gabriel Davis- Worst pick of my draft... hurt my strategy, team would look so much better with Miles Sanders... who i would have taken.... Just couldnt pass on my biggest "sleeper" of the year... also didnt help that i am not high on AJ Brown

10. Bucs D- I am now pissed off i did not get Miles sanders, i look hard at all the RBs left and now they are all backup/handcuffs and now i am rethinking how i do my bench... do i need 2 more backs?? nah!!! i can wait on backs now, let me get an elite Defense

11. Matt Gay- sure it is too early for a kicker and even earlier for not the NEXT kicker... but i am still now under the impression that i am only going to draft one more running back, i dont need one now... Hey!!! isnt it a good idea to load up on one bye week?? YES... let me take a week 7 kicker... on an elite offense?? even better!! Gay it is...

12. Kenneth walker- he was supposed to be my last back, and i was excited to see him available here, so i took him... probably my best value pick of the draft.

13.Isiah Spiller- wasnt going to go RB here... i was going to have my bench 2 RB, 1 WR, 1 QB, 1 D... But no QBs were catching my eye, and i was going to dedicate my last pick to defense... ok, let me scratch my QB bench, i mean if Hurts goes down, i am not going to do well anyway... am i?? so lets take the clearest hand cuff, and when he starts, he will be a clear starter in fantasy... Spiller is that... he is the league winner handcuff this season IMO...

14. Trey Lance- this pick was going to be defense, if you read this write up, you will see how i was changing my bench set up throughout the draft... but no defenses Call my name, Did not hear "MILK TAKE ME!!!, i utterly deserve to be drafted" so back tracked again, and took the best QB available...


overall, made a few mistakes... so the execution of the strategy wasnt great.... But i do think my first 8 picks were the correct pick for me and my strategy.... Just hope my bench is good enough... and i hope Miles Sanders doesnt bite me in the ass...

Tafur went as far as to suggest new head coach Josh McDaniels believes rookie Zamir White is already a superior option to Jacobs and Kenyan Drake. Both Raiders veteran backs will likely be gone after the 2022 season, Tafur said, and the team doesn't see Jacobs as an every-down back in part because he's struggled through a litany of injuries during his three years in the NFL and has shown no explosion as a runner. Former Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew, now an NFL Network analyst, said White fits well with McDaniels' no-frills running scheme. The Raiders are "not that creative a running team, they don’t create explosive plays in the running game — they’re like downhill, A-gap, a little power, they’re not a zone-stretch team," Jones-Drew said. With Elliott reportedly recovered from injuries he suffered in 2021, Pollard seems destined to once again be a frustrating fantasy player whose upside lies only in a long-term Elliott injury. That calculus would change a bit if the Cowboys are truly committed to Pollard as a slot receiver. Fantasy managers should remain skeptical of a major change in Pollard's outlook in what has been a predictable Dallas offense.

I call bs on jacobs. The term bell cow is basically dead as everyone is in some sort of committee. But to think that jacobs wont be the heavy rb1 is most likely wrong.

As for pollard. I heard that too today. But really have no clue what that even means for his value. As long as zeke is there his value is not that high. But if they turn him into a hybrid player who Carries at least 7 times a game and catches 4+ balls per game that is pretty nice production. At least in Ppr leagues.

Yeah, can't buy Zamir White "already better than Jacobs"

The author of this does realize Jacobs excellent on the no frills stuff too, right, that's where he's at his best as well. If Zamir White had that kind of talent, to make that kind of determination when we haven't even began training camp...he wouldve been drafted as the #1 back off the board.

I know I know, lots of later round, udfa's, slip through and end up being studs...but you never start to see that diamond in the rough until training camp, preseason games..not voluntary OTA's with shirts and shells...if he was THAT good, it would've been apparent predraft
